There have been a few praising Romney today.

Trump now has an official attack dog who has already shown the ability to bitch slap Rubio.

That sounds like a sound founding principle for a new political party: The Bitch Slap Party. Vince McMahon and Steve Wilkos, co-chairmen.

Maybe Christie will attack Romney like he did Rubio.

Check all the faux conservatives on FR who could not stand that fat guy but will now go over a cliff with him because he supports their illusionary choice of a nominee. What a strange frikkin year for politics and FR!

Probably about the same # who care about Christie.

but somehow, in a very short period of time, he has become quite popular with a certain segment of the FR population who, until a week ago, despised everything about him.

So if Christie had backed your guy you would disavow him?

>>From the 1990s? Reaching.<<

Yes, disasters are much worse now than back then.

Actually, if you factor in inflation, Northridge was WAY WORSE that sandy.

We just didn’t whine and complain and tweet about our poor wittle selves.

We dug in and TCB.

But every knows the ore you and louder you whine and cry the bigger the disaster.

Trump has a rally scheduled at 1:00 today.

My guess is that Christie will respond to Mutt.

I hope he lays into Romney. Now we see why Romney never became president - he’s a nasty guy. Chris Christie was blamed for helping Romney lose, so I don’t think that there’s any love lost between them. I hope Christie points out what a phony and a fraud Romney is.

Don’t forget that Romney used to be pro-abortion, pro-gay, pro-Obamacare type of healthcare as a Massachusetts ‘Republican’. And then he conveniently flipped all those positions when he ran for president.

I am pretty sure Californians whine like the spoiled brats back then.

I am not a Trump a supporter and as of right now I don’t have a candidate.

I'm in the same boat. I prefer Cruz, but am not convinced that he's eligible.

That said, it is a most entertaining election.

I agree having Christie come out and attack Romney and then Trump come out and be calm and answer the ridiculous changes against him will be a brilliant move. I don’t think the GOPe knows who they are dealing with YET....I am amazed they are trying to fight Trump.

Yeah, fascinating, isn't it? Like all those old newsreels of the Hindenburg and the Andrea Doria.

[Not sure that I will get any work done until the dueling press conferences have concluded.]

Same here. I’m sure the rest of my day will be shot too watching the reactions and meltdowns of the Cruzers and GOPe Media.

Something strange about the way he has his neck ... same stance as Jeb Bush. Looks like an apologetic stance with his head on the one side down to his shoulders.

Romney is the only person in the Republican political discussion who has actually won the support of a majority of Republican voters and delegates. All others, including Trump, have yet to reach his stature.

All of this noise goes away if Trump just wins a majority of the delegates. The soap opera makes me think that both Trump and the establishment actually believe there is a real chance that he won’t win them.
