I agree, but its hard for me to understand how winning destroys the party while losing to Hillary would be good for the party or the country.

That's because you're not a rich donor bundler making 14 million dollars to raise funds for a candidate who couldn't garner more than 10% support anywhere in the country. Or a sitting Senator who lives like a prince while pissing down the backs of the people who put him in office.
