TRUMP POSITION PAPER: HEALTHCARE REFORM TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN
Donald J. Trump for President ^ | 3/2/16 | Donald Trump

Posted on 03/03/2016 7:07:48 AM PST by Jim W N

On day one of the Trump Administration, we will ask Congress to immediately deliver a full repeal of Obamacare. We will work with Congress to make sure we have a series of reforms ready for implementation that follow free market principles and that will restore economic freedom and certainty to everyone in this country. Congress must act. Our elected representatives in the House and Senate must:

1. Completely repeal Obamacare.

2. Modify existing law that inhibits the sale of health insurance across state lines.

3. Allow individuals to fully deduct health insurance premium payments from their tax returns under the current tax system.

4. Allow individuals to use Health Savings Accounts (HSAs).

5. Require price transparency from all healthcare providers, especially doctors and healthcare organizations like clinics and hospitals.

6. Block-grant Medicaid to the states. The state governments know their people best and can manage the administration of Medicaid far better without federal overhead.

7. Remove barriers to entry into free markets for drug providers that offer safe, reliable and cheaper products. Congress will need the courage to step away from the special interests and do what is right for America.

Yup. Cruz wasn’t shaking and making jokes like Rubio, but he’s been saying the same things like fraud, tax cheat, mobster, racist, etc.

Hannity and Rush were outed as Establishment puppets and they’ve turned on Rubio per their orders.

What’s bizarre is Cruz is rattles off those lies about Trump with breathtaking speed on HANNITY’S OWN SHOW. Now he pretends like Cruz isn’t doing exactly what Rubio is doing. Frankly, Rubio & Cruz sound like two members of the same campaign right now. Yet Hannity gives Cruz a pass. Interesting. Something is going on behind the scenes, IMO.

Personally I am a CRUZ guy, but I have always told everybody here that TRUMP is an acceptable alternate candidate if CRUZ does not make the cut.
I do like the tone of TRUMPS position paper on health care, no wiggle room, no way to twist the words into something indecipherable.
Does need tort reform though, guess that could come later in the process.

Again Kelly, you really want to talk about the KKK or address my healthcare plan? What do the American people want to hear?

Perfect response. I hope he has a bunch of those ready for her. One thing he must NOT do is back down from Kelly the way he kind of did with Fiorina.

My job isn’t to be persuasive. I deal in reality.

This isn't about your job, at which you are doing very badly. This is about Trump's job, which is to be a persuasive candidate for President. Tort reform is critical to every healthcare procedure performed. To fail to even mention it in a healthcare "plan," even if one is going to deal with it later, is to FAIL TOTALLY in that job as a presidential candidate.

Got it now? I'd bet not. To support this Democrat in Republican drag is an exercise in delusions.

I didn’t say the plan said anything about tort reform.

I didn't say that was your omission. I said it was Trump's. Dang man settle down.

I said they are two different issues and should be addressed separately.

No, they are not. Tort hazards are embedded in every healthcare procedure and job assignment. Every Republican proposal to reform healthcare to date has included it. To fail to even mention it is not a "healthcare plan," even if the plan is to deal with it at a later date.

Trump has FAILED in his primary job as a Presidential candidate to present a credible healthcare plan.

Regardless of the ominbus bills they’ve had in the past, they are two separate issues but forget about arguing with you about it.

So what are you going to do throw out the baby with the bathwater? Fugeddaboudit.

... transferring to whole question to the states where it should be under the Constitution.

In other words you want them to end Medicaid.

This is basically the same as Ted Cruz’s plan.

Ted Cruz's plan is to end Obamacare. That's the sum total. Repeal, not replace.

#2 is GIGANTIC in terms of impact. Being able to sell health care plans across state lines in a regional manner means a massive increase in competition for health care insurance dollars, and increased competition means lower prices for everyone.

Yes, and the other entitlements. But there needs to be a transition rather than an abrupt cutoff.

If there is a bitter pill to be swallowed it doesn't help to swallow it in stages.

If you think it through then you realize that it probably won't have much impact. Health insurance just doesn't work that way.

“so, he’s off the single payer?”

He was never on it. It was the Cruz people putting out that propaganda.

Yes when Trumpsters can't make a case, they play misdirection and start flinging insults. This has NOTHING to do with omnibus bills.

So what are you going to do throw out the baby with the bathwater? Fugeddaboudit.

What baby? You call this a policy paper? It's a list of talking points, and not much more copy than a two-minute ad.

“Good Trump adopted Cruz’s plan.”

Where can I go and see Ted’s plan?

Tort reform can happen right now. What’s Cruz doing about it? How many of his fellow lawyers, er Senators does he have rallied to his cause? Where’s the bill? Where’s the vote with bipartisan support?
