Complete Headline: Ex-Clinton staffer who set up email server accepts immunity offer from FBI to provide interview, official says

A U.S. law enforcement official has said that Brian Pagliano, who assisted Clinton in her 2008 presidential campaign, is cooperating with the FBI

The Department of Justice has granted immunity to a former Hillary Clinton staffer who helped her to set up her private email server.

A U.S. law enforcement official has said that Brian Pagliano, who assisted Clinton in her 2008 presidential campaign, is cooperating with the FBI, according to The Washington Post.

Pagliano set up the server in Clinton's home in 2009.

The FBI will likely interview Clinton’s top aides about the decision to set up a private server and whether people knew whether or not they were sending classified information, an official told The Washington Post. The FBI will determine is the classified information on the email server points to any crime, according to CNN.

'There was wrongdoing,' an official said, according to The Washington Post. 'But was it criminal wrongdoing?'

This guy worked in IT at the State Dept...obviously he knew
what he was doing was wrong. The real question is who directly authorized it to go forward.

“At a minimum, Hillary has to go to prison.”

And Bill, and Chelsey, and Huma, and Cheryl, and Sidney, and Loretta, and Barrack and Lurch; the spatter from this scandal could be huge. This is far bigger than Watergate. Not the least of the problems is that it gives access to everything. I believe that legally ,any illegal action recorded on that server is now fair game.

“Several months ago, Pagliano asserted his Fifth Amendment right not to testify before the House committee on Benghazi after which Fallon said: ‘(Clinton has) encouraged everyone to cooperate because we want to make every good-faith effort to be transparent and answer any questions people have. With Mr. Pagliano, we encouraged him as well because we don’t think he has any reason to not be transparent about the help that he provided from an IT perspective, but unfortunately, it is his choice what to do.’

Wow! Hillary’s spokesman issuing veiled threats just like a mob lawyer.

I am not getting my hopes up. The Clintons have a way of securing loyalty. It is just as likely this staffer will fall on the sword and claim it was all his idea and Mrs. Clinton knew nothing.

Folks we have been here before, a story comes out that there is damaging news soon to be released about the Clintons, and when it does, it is (as the saying now goes) “a nothing burger”.

I think they do this to muddy the water. Even when bad things can be proven, there are a lot of false accusations out there that the Clintons can point to and say “it is all a vast right wing conspiracy”.

And her supporters will believe and they do not care about what the rest of us think.

They can do this for one simple reason, we no longer have a free press, we have a propaganda arm of the socialist pretending to be a free press.

In the end, it will not be Donald Trump that bells the cat and put limits on the media, it will be the media itself that will cause that to happen.

Why immunity if “ no crimes were committed”

Understood. But DOJ isn't going to do anything without Obama's approval, and he's not going to do anything unless there's something in it for him. What is it?

The drip, drip, drip of The Coverup can now be heard. It will get louder. You can count on it.

Thank you for mentioning Watergate.

That was the Left’s big victory, and it was over a nothing-burger compared to the crimes being committed today.

The immunity agreement should be voided if the FBI proves that he lied or failed to fully answer a question. Hopefully, they used wording to this effect. Otherwise, he may lie or give incomplete answers and there will be nothing they can do. I would hope they did it this way but it may be they wanted only to look like they were doing all that they could. I no longer have faith in the motives or competence of government officials.

Poor guy is wearing the red shirt. Whether he tells the truth or lies, his fate is sealed.

It’s not bigger than Watergate until the American people say it is. And they will not budge in their belief in Mrs. Bill.

Yes, Watergate was a “nothing-burger”, but the American “democracy” was looking for a head or two to roll back then.

I’m willing to bet he’s also wearing his brown pants.

If he doesn’t tell the full truth he will be prosecuted. There is obviously evidence of massive criminal activity for the FBI director to be directly monitoring your case and hundreds of FBI with DOJ career attorneys to have been working a case for months.

I wonder if that immunity includes the fraud required to place him in his job at State. Hillary hooked him up with a six figure federal salary for a position he wasn’t qualified for.

Not necessarily. I see them laying the blame for “this little mixup” at the feet of this tech. He has immunity, so there’s nobody to prosecute. Brush the remnants under the carpet muncher, oops, I mean rug, and bring on the election.

Apart from Trump, has any other candidate stated that he/she/it believes Clinton belongs in jail?

AFIK he never said that, only that she should be held accountable or some other nonsense. Cruz has certainly been more direct and said she has broken at least a dozen laws and would be held accountable. The only candidate that has been very direct about, possible jail time, was Chris Christie in at least 1 or more of the debates.
