At a far lower decibel range than most of Super Tuesday's primary battles, a former New Orleans congressman made an announcement few would find surprising. Joseph Cao is running for the U.S. Senate. Cao's official entrance into the race dovetails neatly with the sentiments of a private holiday email he sent to family and friends in December. "Sen. (David) Vitter will not be running for re-election, so this is a great opportunity to have a Vietnamese-American/Asian-American voice in the U.S. Senate," Cao wrote.

he won an inner-city seat that was impossible to win and cast a NO vote on ObamaCare. Cao is an American Hero.
I am so sick of these hyphenated nationalities, we are either Americans or something else, we are NOT both. To assume a hyphen is to assume another nationality... this has got to STOP!
Cao is a dog, RINO, crony etc.

According to a 2011 survey by the National Journal, Cao was the most liberal Republican in the House. Cao was the only Republican to vote for the draft Affordable Health Care for America Act (H.R. 3962) on November 7, 2009.

Cao also was the sole Republican who helped Obamacare over the top as I recall.
However, he is not nearly our best choice for that Senate seat. We might hold our nose and go along if it were Vermont, but not Louisiana.
Cao helped out the 'Rats on something else.
The only Republican vote that Obamacare ever received was from Olympia Snowe, to move the bill out of committee and to the floor.
Why would anyone support this RINO? Didn’t he cast a pro-Obamacare vote on one of the preliminary votes?
IIRC, he voted for it once, then when it came back from conference with the abortion funding in it, he voted against it. He is a pro-life Catholic.
