“But this means he won’t. The more liberal they are, the more likely they are to support Trump.”

You mean like Jeff Sessions?

Rick Scott is a total liberal and has been a disappointment.

Nonsense. I've been here more than 20 years and he's the best governor, by far, we've had. He's never been rattled by the constant and dishonest attacks of the left or the foaming at the mouth craziness of the leftist media. He brought us from a massive deficit to a huge surplus and is working for a tax cut. All governors should be as liberal and disappointing as Scott.

This Article was dated yesterday but endorsement has not happened yet. Trump press conference last night seemed to be set up for some sort of announcement that never came. Also at the end of this article Trump says he knows nothing about an endorsement from Rick Scott.

Seems to be lots of mystery concerning this endorsement.

Last night, Scott’s spokesman said that he was not endorsing anyone, and Scott was in Tallahassee last night during Trump’s speech.

The thing that perplexes me is why hasn’t Cruz condemned the GOPe schemes?(there are so many) I believe if there is a Brokered Convention, Cruz will back the GOPe. SHAME!

As I said, what Scott did was skip over the miserable Crist years and go back to Bush policies (encouraging development, etc.). He is not telegenic and not a good speaker, so he never appears anywhere. But as I said, he has been maintaining good policies that predated the horrible Crist.

However, otherwise, he’s very much on the government teat, particularly in the areas of healthcare and education. There was a lot of discussion about his being corrupt (crony capitalism, since his insurance and healthcare businesses stood to gain from Obamacare) but I don’t think he was. I think he just likes the idea of big (Federal) government.

I wish Rubio would run for Governor in 2018. He might be able to fix the mess he made of distrust.

Rubio can't manage his own credit cards. And he took 8 grand from a charity he was supposed to be helping. Not a solution to anything

Some people call you a liberal if you dare to hold one belief that doens’t fit into their view of the world. I suspect they have no friends and dogs snarl when they walk past ;-)

Scott sounds like a good guy, and this will really help Trump in Florida. I didn’t expect any endorsements last night because what good does it do on a super-busy news night?

Trump and his people know what they’re doing when it comes to timing and staging. All those American flags behind him and Christie last night were not just window dressing. Those flags say “Presidential”.

that is the problem with our side too. Some seem to think that a candidate or others have to have exactly the same view as them and if you d not then you are liberal.

The teachers union here hates him and has been going against him for years, but as far as I know around here he is alright to most.

Donald Trump’s winning over of Republican lawmakers continues, as Florida Gov. Rick Scott will endorse him

Is a governor considered a "law maker"? I thought he was considered an "executive". Thought law makers came from legislative branches of state and federal. Don't mean to be nitpicky...just wondering.

Was it just me or was that an unusually visible display of Secret Service for a smaller & private venue last night?

We wondered if that had anything to do with both Christie & Trump seeming tense & there being almost a 45 minute delay before the press conference began.

I wasn’t paying any attention to the Secret Service detail, but notice that both Christie and Trump seemed tenser than usual. I wouldn’t be surprised if there has been assassination threats, given the unhinged nature of some of those in the anti-Trump crowd, and the spew coming from the likes of National Review, Standard Weakling, and others.

That’s simply not true. He’s not exactly the most popular governor we’ve had, but he hasn’t “gone along with everything” Obama wanted. I can look right out my front door at the lack of big government funded high-speed train from Tampa to Orlando that would have been a tax-sucking moneypit for all the proof I need that he’s not been bad at all. Anyone who has the willpower to say no to “free” federal government money wins points in my book.

There had been rumors that Scott would be at Trump’s press conference last night

I’m pretty sure Trump has endorsements lined up but waiting for the right time. If exit polls looked worse yesterday he may have received Scott’s endorsement last night to change the discussion. (Assuming Scott will endorse). But he didn’t feel the need to change things last night.

He got Sessions a few days before Alabama at a rally in the state and NASCAR the day before super tuesday. I’d bet he could have had either of those sooner but picked the timing. I’d guess Scott’s official announcement will be a day or two before Florida (unless it’s needed sooner to take something else out of the news)

Deal making ... but only because Scott recognizes the inevitability of Trump’s nomination.

I think that’s what he needs to do if he ever wants to successfully run for President again.
