Kristol Lays Out Strategy to Give White House to Hillary: Trump ‘Shouldn’t Win’
Breitbart ^ | 3/2/2016 | John Nolte

Posted on 03/02/2016 7:36:25 AM PST by lodi90

In order to defeat Donald Trump, The Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol admits he is prepared to hand Hillary Clinton the Oval Office. On Wednesday’s “Morning Joe,” the Republican Establishment leader laid out his plot to deprive Trump of the 50% of delegates necessary to secure the nomination. From there, the idea is to go into a brokered convention and cut a kamikaze deal that awards enough delegates to an “acceptable” candidate (who will have won far fewer votes, states, and delegates than Trump).

The problem with the Establishment brokering a behind-closed-door deal that hands the nomination to a Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)79% , is that the backlash against the Republican Party is almost certain to hand Hillary Clinton the presidency.

If a bunch of rich, angry GOP elites rob Trump supporters of their victory, the blowback will result in so many voters staying home in November, Hillary wins. As NBC’s Chuck Todd pointed out last night, at this point the delegate math is such that the only way to stop Trump is through this scheme at the convention.

As you’ll see below, that outcome is preferable to Kristol, and by extension it is safe to assume that outcome is also fine with the rest of the Republican Establishment.

Well, since the GOPe is taking orders from the ostensible opposition— the clintoonian and inside the beltway schumers and Progressive socialists.... it’s not hard to understand.

They are STILL dancing to the demonrat’s tune, as long as they can stay in the establishment club.

Dumb sobs... and lazy in their minds, words and actions. They deserve what they will get, which will be (what the dems and obamaumao want and BLM).... summer riots.

This can be played... and played well to remove these jackasses— both the dems and the tool RINOs.

Kristol is no more a principled conservative than Kim il Jong.
He is the offspring of parents who were loyal Communists at CUNY during the twenties. When Lenin passed and Stalin ousted Trotsky, they became less militant eventually morphing into neo-cons ,a malarkey descriptive. So too w/their son William. They have always been members of the radical left Jewish intellectual class in NYC.

I am so glad trump is sbowing us all the disingenuous nature of the gop. It almost makes me understand why some peole are actually democrats. This has been the greatest primary of my entire life. In some ways better than reagan.

The problem is Hillary really IS attractive to the GOPe in Kristoland. She gives them TPP and amnesty/DACA/whatever. The GOP would be thrilled if she did the heavy lifting on SCOTUS and they didn’t have to deal with their base on that issue.

Scary times. My fear is that the GOP is going so unhinged against Trump there is no way to walk this back.

The anti-Trump effort being waged by the Republican Party is essentially a fight against democracy.

A bit hyperbolic, don't ya think?

What you are watching, is a political fight, and that is what was intended by democracy.

This convention rhetoric is all talk at this point. But if some 3rd, 4th, and 5th tier candidates stay in, you could see a convention where those delegates are bartered.

But that is democracy.

Looks like it. What a smirk. How does an a@@hole like this get up every morning and have any self respect? Because THAT is what his job is— and he’s proud to work for the globalist NWO kind of “conservatives”. In the 1900’s he would have been ridden out of town... in a box.

This echochamber for the bush-clintoonian narrative of the elite (and don’t forget romney/obamaumaocare).

What a greasy little smarmy toadie this guy is. He belongs on the Scarborough (snort cocaine kid) show as an “analyst”. Same club.

I came so close last year to subscribing to the Weekly Standard. I’m so thankful I didn’t make that mistake.

For those of you who receive the rag - cancel it. Most of the Standard’s money comes from advertising not from subscriptions (which hardly cover the cost of sending it out)... So do the world a favor stop supporting the GOPe.

No. Trump will win the nomination and the GOP will run someone 3rd party. The mistake they’re making is thinking it will hurt Trump. In fact, the GOP and Dems are so close to each other that a GOP 3rd party virtually guarantees Trump’s victory.

Watch out. The GOP are very sneaky. Romney and his cut out man GOP Senator Sasse are plotting a “constitutionalist” 3rd party candidate. Maybe Sasse himself who knows. Check out Sasse on twitter. They are quite open about it now.

If there was ever a doubt in some peoples' minds that the GOP establishment types only want the uni-party candidates in power, it is arch-conservative Bill Kristol openly admitting in public that Trump shouldn't be elected and that lying democRAT b*tch Hillary would be a better choice. WTF?

Why? Because he's not THEIR guy. Well, guess what Kristol? Yeb Bush wasn't MY guy nor is Marco Rubio, the establishment's new bloom, MY guy. I don't like the losers the elite keep foisting upon the GOP electorate.

The GOP establishment wants a LOSER to take the place of the WINNER. Only in America. Sad day.

I hope it’s clear to everyone that this has NOTHING to do with any policies that Trump has put forward. So what, he said he would fund Planned Parenthood without abortions. Keep in mind that less than a month ago the GOPe funded Planned Parthood WITH abortions in a 2 trillion dollar budget. This is all about power and control by the elites (Republican & Democrats). If you think giving Ted Cruz more delegates is the way to stop the GOPe you’re wrong. Cruz will clearly throw in with them

Well said. Sold gold post. The rebellion is on and it’s a time for choosing. Trump or donor controlled uniparty.

Outstanding short summary of who this little toadie actually is. Without putting too fine a point on it— he is a “morphed” less militant radical Left Jewish intellectual segment that has been mined for over 50 years by the espionage crowd within and without our government. Who always rail— “anti-semite” when accosted on their obvious toadying agitprop.

Wonder what Norman Podhoretz would have to say (still alive)- at least he was a recovering red diaper doper baby.

I don’t disagree with that theory. The Dems do the dirty work for the GOPe and then they cry that they couldn’t stop it. What is being unmasked in this election cycle is that the rumors of a uniparty are really accurate. We have moved from a Representative Republic to an Oligarchy. Now most everyone can see that its true.

Huckabee was right I think it was this morning when he said we can do this at the ballot box or we can do this at the bullet box. And that is exactly what is going to happen. But happen it will.

Not only will they hand the election to Hillary, but down-ticket Republicans will lose as well. The GOPe needs to man up and make peace with Donald Trump as best they can, it is a lose/lose situation for them, and for us.

I’m disappointed that my home state, Texas, went with Cruz,
but if Cruz is the candidate, I will force myself to vote for him.
We MUST vote for whoever is the Conservative candidate.
If you stay home, vote ‘write in’, it’s a vote for the evil Hillary.

Like or hate Trump, you have to admit he has illustrated just how corrupt our government is and who the shadow players are.

Yep. Trump has shown beyond a reasonable doubt that the GOPe prefer a presumptive felon in Hillary & her SCOTUS picks to their OWN PARTY BASE. Historic. I’m stunned.
