This is greatly under reported.
Who would suspect the beloved Poppy Bush to be an Agent of Evil? I....I can’t breathe!
I wonder if Alex Jones, or George Noory know about this most crooked little tale.
To: who_would_fardels_bear
Why else would he run? You don’t have to run for President to be nominated for Vice President. Ryan, Palin, Cheney, Kemp, and Quayle were not Presidential candidates. He was a stronger VP possibility BEFORE he embarrassed himself with his touchy feely campaign.

IMHO opinion Kasich believes deep down he is on a mission from God.

Amazing how many Trump backers (not you) who would seemingly be just fine with this RINO turd Kasich as the running mate.

Someone needs to give him a cop car with a cop engine, cop brakes, cop suspension, and cop transmission.
Then have him take a long drive on a short pier.

Do I detect a slight whiff of cynicism in your comments Lee? lol
There is no smoking gun, but if there is anything funny at all that can be found in the aftermath of the attempted assasination of Ronald Reagan, it is this gem which made the rounds via many xerox machines (pre-internet) in '84:
The White House
October 31, 1984
Mr. John Hinckley,
St. Elizabeth's Hospital
Washington D.C. 20066
Dear Mr. Hinckley,
Nancy and I recently learned that you are making some
good progress in your recovery from the psychological
malady that caused you to attempt to assassinate me in
early 1981.
We want you to know that Nancy and I bear no ill will
towards you and wish you the very best in the years to
come. Have a Happy Thanksgiving next month.
Best Wishes,
Ronald Reagan
President of the United States
(say John? Did you know that Walter Mondale has been
f--king Jody Foster? Trick or Treat, you little bastard!)

Zero chance he would be askedExactly! Nobody has asked him to be anybody running mate, yet he felt the need to preemptively decline an invite to join a ticket.

Hell, I could have predicted he wouldn’t be anyone’s vice presidential candidate.

John, there is also zero chance you will be the president of anything other than a local lodge of something or other.

The John Kasich of 20 years ago would have been a good, bold VP choice.
The John Kasich of today? Like most GOPs, he “went native” and is owned by the GOPe.

I’ll disclose this right up front: I’m a Trump fanatic and despise the Bushes.
I 100000000000000000000% DO NOT want ¡Yeb! as VP, VD, PCP, LSD, etc.
That said, he’s an interesting factoid: Since 1928, the GOP hasn’t won the presidency without either Nixon or a Bush on the ticket.
That streak will come to an end this November. No idea who Trump will pick for VP though.

My guesses were:
1. Jeff Sessions
2. Greg Abbott
Abbott’s out. Sessions would be great, but he’s the same age as Trump and he’s needed in the Senate (as a Senator).
I dunno.
