You want the raccoons gone!
Bonner Daily Bee ^ | March 1, 2016 | Dawgshepard

Posted on 03/01/2016 11:29:43 AM PST by Baynative

I labeled this as an editorial although it is actually a response to a letter in the Bonner County Idaho paper.

I posted it because I think Mr. "Dawgshepard" sums things up fairly well.

It must just be in some states that outlawed the old kinds of anti-freeze.

MI won’t allow the old kind of anti-freeze.

“Animal Friendly Antifreeze?Engine Ice Propylene Glycol Anti Freeze
Fortunately there are less toxic alternatives to ethylene glycol now on the market. The antifreeze containing propylene glycol is the safer alternative and is apparently less appealing (less tasty) to animals.”

Akitas work well, although they tend to leave a little mess.

I thought MI only regulated “Used Antifreeze”, not new.

Nope, you can only buy certain kinds in MI.

So you give him a power-of-attorney. Just to get rid of the raccoons, of course. And he absconds with all your money, your property, and probably your wife.

And Cruz takes your money and leaves the wife.

No thanks.

I caught one in a live trap once. It was like a loaf of snarling, enraged hell held back with galvanized wire.

When he shows up drunk and dumps a can of gasoline in the basement window well, gets ticked off and throws his cell phone because his third ex is calling about the alimony and accidentally lights the gas, and your house burns down, you can console yourself while looking at the smoking hole that the raccoons are indeed gone.

Patience is a virtue.

This mess wasn't made over night. We won't be rid of it overnight without burning down the house. Enough 'fundamental change', let's get back to our roots.

We do NOT want less toxic alternatives - the more toxic the better.

ethylene glycol = old stuff = usually green
propylene glycol = new stuff = different colors, red, yellow, etc

Old fashioned steel jaws trap

Peanut butter bait

The boar will gnaw his leg off to get away

But the gaze will leave your house for good

Or shoot one and hang his corpse on a tree near the house

I have dealt with coon gazes in my chimney crawl space and on my houseboat

I got gnawed up good by a big boar coon in 96 on Dale Hollow lake

I killed him hand to hand with a gerber long knife

Still got the pics and his tail

Me and him in the water at night bleeding

My now 26 year old daughter still talks about it

Well, who am I to say anything.

We have a bunch of strange laws too.

You can’t break a horse on Main Street.

You can’t even legally throw a rock in the city Limits.

And to think of all the rock wars I was in growing up.

That one, and no fireworks in the city limits, coulda put me away for a long long time.

Repeat offender and all.

My fear is that other, domesticated animals will get into the tasty poison. How to control for that?

My neighbor’s cat is an a-hole, but I still don’t want to kill him.

"he says he'll fix it. And we believe him."

That sums up Trump supporters.

Problem with the analogy is that your exterminator may, in spite of what he says, actually be a member of PETA-and also has actively supported PETA members in the recent past-PETA who would not get rid of the raccoons.

You are believing what he says, because he says you want to hear.

Read his book-Saying what people want to hear is how he begins a deal-He negotiates from that point. Nothing wrong with that- But Trump people should be aware and not expect so much from him. He's going to make deals. That's what he does.

I want someone who IS Conservative. Who has a solid life long record of defending our Constitution. Most of our problems are rooted in the fact that we have gotten far away from our Constitutional principles.

I don't wonder about what Cruz will do in office. He's got a life long record that gives me a good picture.

I like Trump-But I don't entirely trust him.

He has been supporting ideas and people I would NEVER support, and has promised to make deals with them.

His own book and past statements have said that he is in favor of an assault weapons ban and government run healthcare and that he doesn't favor Israel. These are among some of the troubling issues about Trump.

And finally- we could end up with Hillary because of Trump's high negatives and possible scandals. (He needs to be anticipating, and planning, how to counter these problems and attacks now-And be able to handle them, should he become the nominee.)

So for me-Cruz is my guy. I think he's the best person, with the best plan, to get this country back on track. I am praying he will be our next president.

IMO- Ted Cruz IS who everyone wants Donald Trump to be.

"I like Trump-But I don't entirely trust him.

You and I are in agreement. I posted the letter because I think it illustrates the national emotion at the moment. It was a humorous analogy.

And speaking of humorous analogies - I think a good one is offered right here by Smokin' Joe

"When he shows up drunk and dumps a can of gasoline in the basement window well, gets ticked off and throws his cell phone because his third ex is calling about the alimony and accidentally lights the gas, and your house burns down, you can console yourself while looking at the smoking hole that the raccoons are indeed gone."

Usually do this in a farm situation and put the pan in a closed barn - if the cat gets in maybe it will avoid the pan, maybe not - but in years of doing this with neighbors cats hunting and feral cats roaming no cat died.

You mean a foreign born Canadian that’s a junior Senator with few accomplishments who uses illegal political advertising and other underhanded tactics??
