I’m from CO and I and my wife are preregistered for tonight’s caucus.

HOWEVER, I’ve been wondering for a long time of what value is our attendance?

Everything I’ve read about the CO Republican Caucus system leads me to believe we’re just wasting our time.

Will our votes count for anything?

You might get a warm and fuzzy feeling is about all. I quit the GOOP and an registered as unaffiliated.

Since I've been here I've attended three Republican caucuses, and ran one of them. Never again. I've also re-registered Unaffiliated.

Votes at the caucuses are basically meaningless. The only way to have any affect is to get selected to be a delegate to attend the (later) county assembly (which can be a stupifying all-day marathon). This may be of some value if there's a hot contest for County Commissioner or some other local office. If you're a real bear for punishment, you might try to get to the state convention, which is where the most ill-informed Republicans in the state congregate to put people like Dan Maes on the ballot for governor.
