In addition, CRUZ and RUBIO ARE NOT eligible. THAT is my position and will remain so. I studied the Constitution before either of them were born. The Constitution has not changed. They are NOT natural born citizens!

Yes,

Trump’s whole campaign is a lie:
In Campaign: says he for buiding a wall
Before campaign: Critisied Romney for being to tough on immigration, hired illeagals to build Trump tower.

In Campaign: Against Iraq war
Before Campaign: For Iraq war

In Campaign: Against Obamacare but still praised socialized systems of Canada and Sweden.
Before Campaign: For Socialized health-care systems

List can go on and on, I don’t think there is one policy issue Trump has campaigned on where his pre-campaign views matched his rhetoric.

Yet a lot of people are falling for it, so I got to give him credit, it worked for Obama, looks like it will work for Trump also.

I wish Ted would have had Welch on the campaign trail rather than that idiot Glen Beck...

Absolutely.

I’m not philosophically opposed to the idea of electing a non-politician proven leader as president and I’d vote for Jack Welch in a heartbeat. In terms of actual business acumen, intelligence, and success Trump doesn’t amount to a pimple on the man’s a$$.

“The psychology behind mob mentality and cult of personality is amazing, isn’t it.”

Yes. Amazing to see people defend Cruz after he went gutter in IA with Jeff Roe, and then defend all the subsequent lies, half truths, and deliberate and blatant misrepresentations.

I think Trump was actually stunned by how dirty it is.

1)People don't like him that much. A lot of it is "lookism." Hillary Clinton may be Nixon reborn, but Ted's appearance and mannerisms put some in mind of Nixon (or LBJ or Joe McCarthy).

2) If you present yourself as "trust and truth personified," every little thing you say that might not be completely true or fair will muddy your reputation. It's the expectations game.

From a Canadian perspective Trump is wrong on the efficiency of a single payer system. It looks good in theory but once put into practice, it is an utter waste and the bureaucracies that are instituted to maintain the machine are abhorrent. Keep in mind that in Canada, healthcare is the purview of the province and not the federal gov’t. Provinces receive transfer payments from the federal government and the provinces are responsible for the budgeting and cost. Since there is no competitive marketplace to control or reduce costs, healthcare is in effect they are always out of control and thus rationing occurs. So no Universal healthcare is not the panacea that Trump thinks it is. Bref. A national healthcare system will only create a federalized bureaucracy that will only be be-holdened to itself and unionized and be inevitably an arm of the democratic party. New York Values Baby!!

I am disgusted by some here on FR defaming Cruz with half stories & innuendo.

I'm not even a fan of Cruz, but the criticism of him is way over the top. It seems like a whole lot of Leftist "sleeper posters" who signed up for FR years ago have now woken up and started posting criticisms of Cruz that sound like they come straight from DU.

Yes, I did a google search, and it appears this Jack Welch was a big proponent of shipping our jobs and industries to the 3rd world.

"Several years ago Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric, captured the new reality when he talked of ideally having "every plant you own on a barge". The economic logic was that factories should float between countries to take advantage of lowest costs, be they due to under-valued exchange rates, low taxes, subsidies, or a surfeit of cheap labor. Globalization has made Welch's barge a reality. However, in doing so it has made capital mobility rather than country comparative advantage the engine of trade. And with that change, "free trade" increasingly trades jobs and promotes downward wage equalization.

The Trumpers have taken over, and worse yet, appear unhinged. The more I see of Trump, the less I trust him, but at the same time, it surely does look like he’ll sew up the nomination tomorrow. That said, I’ll certainly vote for him if he’s the nominee, but under a Trump administration, we should be expecting

a) no wall
b) unlimited H-1b visas
c) single-payer

All he’s doing is closing a deal with the base at the moment. Once he’s in the general, he’ll be closing a deal with the low-information voters.

And if in office, he’ll be dealing with anyone to get what he wants, and his instincts are liberal.

I watched the video. It’s mostly a rehash of previous discussions.

1. Trump will defund PP because of abortion. And is no longer pro-choice. He’s been vary vocal on protecting Christians in this country and abroad.

2. Trump initially was for Syrian refugees before learning that they were mostly young males. Then he changed his position.

3. His campaign has been consistently conservative on borders, religious freedom, immigration, trade and 2nd Amendment.

4. Trump is campaigning against Obama care from day one. He wants medical savings accounts and interstate competition for health plans. He thinks everyone needs some kind of coverage. Medicare and Medicaid have been with us since 1965.

If he’s lying about his positions since day 1 of his campaign then I’m no worse off than if I voted for a “principled conservative” GOPer.

That’s my point. Medicare/Medicaid are already part of universal health care.

It appears “free trade,” bad trade deals, government forced unionization, socialism, and outsourcing coupled with nearly unlimited immigrant invasions and without deregulation and deep government cost and tax cutting has cost us our manufacturing base and has driven (real) unemployment through the roof.

Jack "Neutron" Welch, to bolster "H1-B" Ted Cruz over "Make America Great Again" Donald Trump?

I'm supporting Trump over Cruz, and I *LOVE* it!

Hey Jack, Cruz admitted to lying to kill the Gang of 8 Bill.

Do you know what it's called when you knowingly make false statements on or make proposals with false pretenses to a legal document with intent to destroy?...Fraud.

Jack Welch the CEO of GE China, friend to Obama and member of the Obama administration. It’s no wonder he’d come to Mr. (and Mrs.) Green card/H1b/open borders/cheap labor loving Cruz’s defense.
