HIV drug resistance to tenofovir, an antiretroviral drug vital to most modern HIV treatment and prevention strategies, is surprisingly and worryingly common according to a large study led by UCL and funded by the Wellcome Trust.
The research, co-authored by researchers at Stanford University and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and published in the Lancet Infectious Diseases journal, studied 1,926 HIV patients across the world with uncontrolled HIV despite being prescribed antiretrovirals. They found tenofovir-resistant strains in 60% of patients in sub-Saharan Africa in contrast to 20% amongst patients treated in Europe. Around two-thirds of patients with tenofovir-resistant strains had also become resistant to both other drugs in their regimen, indicating that their treatment had been completely compromised.

Obviously a Homophobic drug that refuses to acknowledge the moral superiority of the Rump Rangers.
Probably a Republican drug
Looks like the virus is catching up on the evolution v. research arms race.
The virus has an army of 'helpers,' very enthusiastic 'helpers.'
The political activists must need more funding.
No surprise. The drug was developed to enable them to continue their disease-spreading practices. No one in the establishment had the balls to tell them to stop what they were doing because it spread the disease.
I recall the disbelief aimed my way in 1989 when I asserted there wouldn’t be any “cure” for AIDS within the following 20 years.
Of course not. Is there a cure for cancer or Alzheimer’s? Why would we give precedence to a disease that mostly degenerate faggots do in the first place?
Because AIDS conveys a consequence for a behavior.
Libs can’t stand the concept.
I remember a former Surgeon General (perhaps Koop, but I can't say for certain) saying something similar many years ago. His POV was that they way the virus works, setting up shop within the human cells, means that you would have to kill the cell to get to the virus, and that would kill the patient. At least, I think that is what he was saying; it's been a while.
All viruses “set up shop” in the body’s cells, that’s not the point.
Specific viruses do their dirty work in various ways. HIV is highly effective at targeting our immune system cells, and evading any effective treatment. It’s almost like the virus was created to hone in on a specific type of behavior - by a CREATOR.
Nature is not mocked or fooled.
Hey libtards say that it’s “natural” to be a fudgepacker. They also forgot that it’s “nature” which tends to eradicate abominations that should not be..
Koop.
You recall correctly.
