Donald Trump blamed a “lousy earpiece” for why he claimed he didn’t know who David Duke was during a CNN interview on Sunday.
On NBC’s Today show Monday, Trump said he knows who Duke is (a former Grand Wizard of the Ku Klux Klan who will vote for him), but claimed he never met him.
Trump also said he only didn’t know the white-supremacist groups that host Jake Tapper asked him about.
Nevertheless, Trump refused several opportunities to denounce the racists supporting him. On Sunday night, he tweeted that he disavowed their support.

Trump disavowed this former Democrat David Duke way back in 2000 also. Anyone who is trying to make political hay out of this is being disingenuous.

Plausible.(that his earpiece wasn’t working well). That’s all I’ll say about that.
Always seemed odd to me that he wouldn’t know who Duke was/is and/or not disavow his “support” immediately. Trump is many things (narcissistic loud-mouth who until recently supported abortion, fooled around on his wives, used cheap immigrant labor for some of his business, and supports public seizure of private lands for private use by another) but he’s no racist.

Because he got some blowback from his KKK twitter followers and so he stopped denouncing Duke.
And you are OK with that? He thinks most people in the south are kinda sorta supporters of the KKK.

Wasn’t aware that happened. Thanks. And I agree with you when it comes to Trump. At first, I thought he was a breathe of fresh air against the establishment and media. But as time went on, too many red flags sprung up. Too many here stopped at the first part

It’s part of their inside the bubble thinking. No body is happy with what’s going on in DC today but the Trump supporters mistakenly believe the country loves Trump as much as they do and can’t wait to vote for him.
He could win. I’ve heard from people who don’t like him but plan on voting for him. But they shouldn’t delude themselves that he is nationally loved. His negatives are right up with Hillary’s.
I won’t be voting for him. If he wins, I hope he proves me wrong but I doubt he will. I expect him to govern the same way he’s campaigning and his supporters will cheer on his running around Congress and the Constitution. I’ve seen their own words here

Trump says over and over that he cannot release his tax returns “until the audit is finished.”
Since Trump hasn’t explained why this is so, and the press is too timid to ask, can anyone here explain exactly why this makes sense???

That is delusional. Cruz's ultra conservative religious schtick is geared for a small segment of the conservative base. Rubio is a lightweight.
Amen. And Rubio has already switched sides on this. (Of course Girlie-Fingers Trump switches sides almost every time he opens his mouth). I'll bet the guy never so much as changed a tire.
Why would a billionaire change a car tire? If Rubio changes his own car tires then he has one accomplishment in the Senate.
