The stadium has seating for 5,000 and has never held an event with over 8,000 attendees with parking for 1,000 vehicles. Maj. Jim Cooke with the Madison police told AL.com the huge expected crowd for the Trump rally is a logistics nightmare:
“I don’t think you could have picked a worse location for this number of people.
…I’m about as frustrated as I can get,” Cooke said. “I never imagined that I would be notified at 10 minutes after 5 on Thursday afternoon that we needed to plan for an event that takes three weeks to properly plan. We’ll figure it out. We’ve got a lot of great people here and we’ll do the best we can with the mission we’ve got.
“We’ve just never had that size of an event here before. Logistically, the way that’s laid out over there, I just can’t tell you what’s going to happen if a crowd of 20,000 people (shows up). I just don’t have a clue.”
Emergency arrangements are being made for satellite parking and shuttle buses to handle the enormous crowd.
WAAY-TV reported that roads are being closed and traffic rerouted to handle the car and pedestrian traffic.

In business there is “politics” but ultimately their is “reality” when it sets in and things, the right things, have to get done or get sorted out. It they don’t then there are bankruptcies and failure.

He should be thankful. This is great training for an emergency (they generally don’t give a 3 week notice). Write a good after action report so he can identify what worked and didn’t work and then work on the weak points with his crew.

Trump has peaked again
No WAAAY! A thread about Trump w/o the usual Trump haters! I can’t believe it!!
Much of my family lives just an hour south on Sand Mountain. I'm sure many of them will be in attendance today. Sunny today with high temperatures in upper 60s. I'm jealous.
Lot of Waffle Houses in the area. I used to always like to have breakfast at the Waffle House. It's a piece of Americana you just don't get much of north of the Mason/Dixon line (but I refer to it as the IHOP/Waffle House line.)
Yep, he’s an imperfect Man, just like every one of us. The GOP was given opportunity after opportunity, and most recently it was given both houses of Congress. Still NOTHING !!! It’s over.... time for a game changer. And yep, we don’t have a crystal ball, so we don’t know how this all will end, but we’re damn sure not going to trust the traditional elites any more.
