The country has very serious problems, some of which could prove to be of an existential nature, and yet the media is fixated on trivia. The media wants to promote a circus, not solutions.
Absolutely!

“The country has very serious problems, some of which could prove to be of an existential nature, and yet the media is fixated on trivia. The media wants to promote a circus, not solutions.”
Ding, ding, ding, ding, ding!
Winner, winner, Chick-fil-a dinner!
My disgust with this goes back to 1976, where I learned more about our presidential candidates in two daily paragraphs in the International Herald Tribune in Europe than I did from American media in four months of constant coverage.
“The media wants to promote a circus, not solutions.”
