NY Times Bombshell Scoop: Fox News Colluded with Rubio to Give Amnesty to Illegal Aliens
Breitbart News ^ | Feb 27 2016 | Breitbart News

Posted on 02/27/2016 10:16:35 PM PST by MichelleWSC3

A few weeks after Senator Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) 79% joined a bipartisan push for an immigration overhaul in 2013, he arrived alongside Senator Chuck Schumer at the executive dining room of News Corporation’s Manhattan headquarters for dinner.

Their mission was to persuade Rupert Murdoch, the owner of the media empire, and Roger Ailes, the chairman and chief executive of its Fox News division, to keep the network’s on-air personalities from savaging the legislation and give it a fighting chance at survival.

Mr. Murdoch, an advocate of immigration reform, and Mr. Ailes, his top lieutenant and the most powerful man in conservative television, agreed at the Jan. 17, 2013, meeting to give the senators some breathing room.

But the media executives, highly attuned to the intensifying anger in the Republican grass roots, warned that the senators also needed to make their case to Rush Limbaugh, the king of conservative talk radio, who held enormous sway with the party’s largely anti-immigrant base.

The dinner at News Corporation headquarters — which has not been previously reported — and the subsequent outreach to Mr. Limbaugh illustrate the degree to which Mr. Rubio served as the chief envoy to the conservative media for the group supporting the legislation. The bill would have provided a pathway to American citizenship for 11 million illegal immigrants along with measures to secure the borders and ensure that foreigners left the United States upon the expiration of their visas.

Last election when Rush was pushing Romney, I was really hurt. “I feel your pain.”

Fox is now trumpeting a new strategy to declare Trump the loser Tuesday

He must win 300 delegates or more....doesn’t matter if he wins all the primaries that day

In a 5 man race if Trump wins all primaries but at less than 40% then he’s a loser will be the same Official line for FOX

Just like that fake ceiling talk.....

Or that if Kasich or Carson drop out Trump won’t benefit

Hell he’ll get the lions share of those supporters

Cruz has proven extremely unlikable except to those who think he’s ordained by God and Rubio looks so bad....

I feel sorry for Cruz...I think he had to force himself to be so ugly

Rubio..that immature giggle and smirk....what a manchil

He has a beautiful wife and four kids but you can just tell he’s no damn good in that dept

He has no spine

Cruz is young....he can learn

A preacher? Why is anyone who simply his sincere religious convictions called a preacher? Religious values are relevant to far more aspects of life than “preaching.” It keeps people from behaving like B.J. Clinton for one thing. And anyone who has a deep faith will have many core conservative principles by default, pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-Constitution.

Cruz and Sessions came out with a plan to limit H1Bs last year.

Trump was for amnesty before he was against it. And the alliance with Rubio is clearly a strategy to end up with Ted on top of the primary pack. Ted’s not dropping out and he’s currently doing better in Texas than Rhubarb is in Florida.

His actions don’t match his words. Sorry, that’s what I think of him.

That being said, I will vote for Cruz should he be the nominee.

I do not think at this point that I can support Rubio.

In fact, I’m pretty sure I can’t.

I've listened to Rush for about 27 YEARS, but I'm done with him FOREVER and doubt that he'll be nice to trump once he is the president.

Rush was very rude to an elderly lady....because she didn’t like Me Gyn who Rush adores. That’s the last time I heard his voice.

One major sign of being seduced into a cult is when the cult makes you hate and distrust your previous friends and family.

Rubio is a classic overachiever. He is the kid, who despite no talent, would volunteer to carry the band equipment if he could be in the group photo in the yearbook and list Band on his resume.

He has no skills but is constantly “in the photo.”

You said you support him because of his faith being most devout which may be true...Carson is devout too in all fairness

I would support a Jew who shared my ideology over a southern baptist like myself who didn’t

Though my own very conservative literalist country baptist preacher here in TN supports the Combover Saxon

Most of the founders were Anglican or Congregationalists

Not my persoective exactly but I sure like them

Huckabee I think is closest to my religious views and a decent man but he’s soft on borders and a few other issues whereas I don’t think Trump is terribly pious but I like his fight and his focus on the Wall and slowing it all down and contesting Islam by name and fiscal waste....

Everything can either fall into place or wait

that’s what a figure.

I’ve always been a brutal realist. maybe too much.

but the polls have been accurate for the most part and the lead is too large to overcome.

I will pull the lever for trump in November.

Ted really isn't doing all THAT well in Texas. He's the "native son" and is tied with Trump in 2 polls, losing to him in one, and beating him somewhat in the fourth one, which is old.

OTOH, Trump is winning by a mile, over EVERYONE in Florida and most other states on Tuesday.
