Yes, I am very much up to date on that. I know that you can't shoot some guy outside your house just because he is in your yard and looks suspicious. The guy must be coming through the window and about to land on the floor and /or the guy must have aleady broken into your house and is already inside your house, and not just outside the door.
And I believe the Texas law states that one has to fear for his life before shooting, etc. I'll bet the state of Tx even has those free -little 'booklets' of about 10 pages that goes over all the rules when you can fire your weapon. In fact, I remember seeing one of these small state produced ......'booklets' before. And, I'll bet I can find out about this topic online. I'll check.
