Trump is on record, you say.

Which record? The one he has now? Or the one he had one year ago? Or the one he had ten years ago?

It is not a wild charge to call him a tyrant. I have read all the biographies of Plutarch and I have more than a bit of hesitation when it comes to having Trump as leader of the United States.

When our Founders created our Constitutional Representative Republic they specifically feared a tyrant like those that they read about in Plutarch.

The one thing they noted as being a basic alarm is when a person needs to be flattered - needs to always have people say nice things about him.

Not good.

You have to be very careful when giving any man that much power.

The record that matters, for the reasons I cite in the article, is what he is saying in this landmark campaign. His very pride, that everyone acknowledges, make it extremely unlikely he will repudiate his commitments. He will be remembered for this campaign, even more than he will be remembered for his great buildings.
