Considering that full automatic rifles (also known as machine guns) are already banned with the exception of a special 4th Amendment waiver for the weapon— there is no need to “ban” them. They already are quite specifically forbidden and have been since 1934.
“Considering that full automatic rifles (also known as machine guns) are already banned “
That statement is not true
This reply is thanks to the FReeper NFHale:
No, theyâre not. Full auto firearms are not âillegal nearly everywhereâ - theyâre Class III NFA firearms that have to be registered, and you need a 200.00 dollar tax transfer stamp to own or transfer them. Theyâre completely legal in 40+ states. Similar situation with suppressors (or âsilencersâ, which is a misleading term).
RE â...banning something that is already banned...â
Theyâre not âbannedâ. Theyâre heavily regulated, and expensive, but theyâre certainly not banned, except in a very few states.
