The idea should be lift the oppressive regulatory conditions that make hiring Americans not cost-effective.

But we're not talking about outsourcing here, we're talking about workers located in the United States. The same "oppressive regulatory conditions" apply whether the workers are U.S. workers or foreign workers.

The only difference--and the reason Trump did this--is that the foreign workers are willing to work for a lower wage.

I’ll answer that: because no one wants to understand the difference between hiring LEGAL immigrants and those who are not because doing so would negate their anti trump banter.

I DO NOT recall Trump ever saying he hires illegal workers. He has said he has many foreign LEGAL workers in his hotels. He has said he would have a wide door in his wall for LEGAL immigration. Even the pope cannot assail that position. So, we get the obfuscation of the facts by blurring the details of what Trump says he does.

RE:”to paraphrase Mr Trump, he loves his dumb voters lol”

See that is the key to Trump's style

After pointing out to the rest of us how gullible his cultists are to worship him he ends with a comment like that, that he loves them.

As we have observed they only remember the LAST thing he said on any given subject.

In this case they only remember that he said that he loves them, not that he thinks that they are idiots,

You don’t get it. Trump only bashes the Washingon politicians. He never bashes the companies that do what they have to do to survive.

Maybe you didn’t hear the story about his friend who bought the Komatsu tractors. He has only told that story in every stump speech about 3 times a day for the past 7 months..

Try listening to what he says and remember: Ted is a liar.

“so trump is or is not a complete, lying hypocrite, for bashing other for doing the same thing he does (hiring cheap foreigners for jobs Americans want)?”

I had a co-worker (now retired) whose wife ran a business that brokered jobs for young foreigners (mostly Western and Eastern Europeans) at resort properties along the East Coast. She said that it was extremely difficult for these employers to find American teenagers and young adults who were willing and able to work these seasonal (mainly summer) jobs at $8-12 per hour. One critical issue was that the resorts needed a commitment to work through the Labor Day weekend, and most high school and college students in the U.S. have to be back at school in mid-August.

“He, along with every other employer in the tourist industry in the area, hire summer or seasonal employees from Eastern Europe and South America in order to stay in business, but they are not shutting out American workers that want to work.”

Thank you. Also, see my post #68.

Why doesn't anyone understand the difference between legal immigration and ILLEGAL immigration

Because the dems have done a great job blurring the lines, making the huge distinction meaningless.

And just yesterday, my BIL was telling his children that Trump is a “bigot” and a “racist” because he wants stop all Muslims from coming here and wants to build a wall so Mexicans “can’t get in”. “And, I bet he and his voters want to send all black people back too”....

So, if he just hired white people, he’d be a bigot, but because he doesn’t hire any white people, that makes him—what? A bad employer? A bad white guy?

The only good thing about this article is that it is something I can show my nephews, let them read it, and explain to ME what the dilemma is...can’t wait!

Yeah, I believe seasonal workersare eligible for unemployment the rest of the year, aren’t they?

What are the chances that there’s a committed, competent local workforce looking to do these jobs just as they become available, for wages competitive with hiring from this international program?

Getting American workers for “that kind” of job who will actually work at it instead of just going through the motions can be difficult.

Unfortunately the hiring of unskilled labor via the visa process takes away one visa that could be utilized to bring in a skilled professional. No, I’m not talking IT folks. They suck up enough H1’s at lower than prevailing wages. Areas that could really benefit from a better visa program are healthcare professionals, ie, registered nurses and physical therapist where there really is an acute shortage...but hey, what’s more important, a nurse or someone to make a bed for a Trump hotel?

Even the Airlines and other businesses use green card workers, because the so many Americans cannot qualify. The work looks easy, but to properly serve is a talent NOT taught in America. It is part of schooling in Europe.

“Trying to hire laborers and general help is very difficult these days.”

It certainly is. Last year I ran an ad for two months with specific qualifications. Got many resumes from across the country from people that apparently didn’t even read the ad. Finally had a couple of local guys get to the interview part. Hired both. Neither showed up for their first day.

RE:”Or Obama voters in 2008 and 2012.”

Don't forget Obama has the race thing going.

The only reason why Republicans are opposed to what Obama does is because they are old white racists.

That is what Obama means when he claims that all his radical ideas are ones he got from Republicans, like Obamacare.

Dems are saying this again over Obama picking a new SCOTUS justice. Its because he is black that they say they will ignore a nominee.

Black women voters were the ones to turn out to vote in droves for Obama.
