Property taxes make land owners into renters and goverments into landlords.
When you hear those stories on the news of people barricaded in their homes with the police in a standoff...and you never hear who they are, but you never get the rest of the story....

Paying property tax is immoral, wrong and worth fighting over, literally. We are just wage slaves as long as we can never own our own place to live in.
Both income and property taxes are evil. They subvert natural rights and forcefully assimilate citizens into a collective.
Land-value taxes
Somebody please end this fascination with Henry George, end this rent to the collective owner.
My personal favorite saying is “ if you think you own your property don’t pay property taxes and you will soon meet the REAL OWNER. “

Anybody who owns property has skin in the game.
Those who do not have no skin in it.
I just wrote my check. All I can think about is the truck I could have bought instead of the old one I have to drive with 250,000 miles on it.
I wish he had mentioned that people who home-school or have kids in private schools are really being hammered because they have to pay for that AND the local school that they don’t use.
