President Barack Obama says he's looking for a Supreme Court nominee with a sterling record, a deep respect for the judiciary's role and an understanding of how the law affects real people. [...]
He writes on the legal blog SCOTUSblog that he's looking for someone who approaches decisions with no "particular ideology or agenda." But Obama says he's also seeking someone guided by his or her "perspective, ethics and judgment." ...

You know Obama has some trick up his sleeve. The GOP better be ready for it.
The GOP-e is certainly ready to help him execute said trick.
Does anyone care?
Swearing an oath to the Constitution by all these politicians and judges gives them one goal and agenda. Nothing else matters.
And that’s the biggest problem with all of the Kenyan’s appointees. “Compelling life stories” suck because most of them are loaded with 100% pure bull****.
In reference to what he says, or what we may end up with?
No one is listening Obama.. quack, quack.
If this doesn’t get blocked until the next administration I will never in my life again vote for any Republican.
Empty words from a dishonest man.
None of Obama’s nominees come close to that description.
Meaning he (or she) has no morals to get in the way of changing his mind every time it needs to be changed to get rid of the constitution.
Typical profile eg Kagan: private school, private university, law school, attorney for the government or lefty firm, judge.
The odds of getting ‘real life perspective’ are a million to one but we all know that Obama is priming the audience for an openly gay candidate so we can hear Obama and the candidate bang on about it and attempt to squelch any opposition.
..hey Barry, you mean like hanging out in bath houses?
> But Obama says he’s also seeking someone guided by his or her “perspective, ethics and judgment.” ...
Probably a misprint. He probably meant “ethnics”, not ethics because he would never appoint someone with ethics and a conscience.
Guided by real-life perspective?
Supreme Court judges take an oath to be guided by, and uphold, the Constitution, not be guided by their feakin’ little real-life perspectives.
But that kind of hug and touch BS sounds good to Obama’s nihilism.
Chuck Grassley and the Senate GOP sent a letter to Majority Leader Mitch McConnell indicating that they will exercise their constitutional authority to withhold consent of a Supreme Court nomination and will not hold hearings on a Supreme Court nominee until the next President is sworn in. have announced. There will be No hearings on Obama Supreme Court nominee. GOP Senators Say They Won't Even Meet With An Obama
USSC Nominee....adding that it would serve no useful purpose
==============================================
It has also been reported that Judiciary Committee Chair Sen. Chuck Grassley has decided to invoke the "Biden Rules," WRT Senate hearings on a possible Obama USSC nomination.
SOURCE: Audio sound bite number six: June 25, 1992, on the Senate floor. Senator Biden says President George H. W. Bush should not appoint a Supreme Court justice in an election year.
BIDEN: It is my view that if president Bush goes the way of Presidents Fillmore and [Andrew] Johnson and presses an election-year nomination, the Senate Judiciary Committee should seriously consider not scheduling confirmation hearings on the nomination until after the political campaign season is over.
It would be our pragmatic conclusion that once the political season is underway -- and it is -- action on a Supreme Court nomination must be put off until after the election campaign is over. That is what is fair to the nominee and essential to the process. Otherwise it seems to me, Mr. President, we will be in deep trouble as an institution. END BIDEN QUOTE
In America, a real life perspective IS Constitutional
That was the plan, that was the reality for 300 years and that is STILL the goal and aim of (and to the REPUBLIC for which it stands) ... Americans
you won’t be able to .... they will have disappeared and we’ll be dodging the enemy in our own streets and cities.
