The only way a candidate behind Trump in delegate count can hope to catch up with him is by taking one or more winner-take-all states.
BUT the Republican Part got rid of most of those winner-take-all-style events because it was felt to give to much early momentum to whoever lucked out in winning OH and NH, so now every state awards Republican delegates proportionally.
So, given those parameters, as long as Trump maintains his lead in all the big states, it’s simply mathematically impossible for any other candidate to overtake him - even the establishment’s cherished CabanaBoy.
In other words, it’s over. Let the NY Daily News/Boston Globe suicide watch begin.
