Because they don’t know his background yet. My mormon parents were really liking him but when they heard about Amber Stoner and about the foam parties, etc. they were totally disgusted and I think they’ve scratched him off for good. I think if the dirt comes out about him before long, you’ll see Utah move away from him.
Mormons tend to be liberal Repubs like Romney. They are not real big on social issues.
