Terrifying arsenal of 500 guns seized from parish council chairman (TRUNC. England)
Daily Mail ^ | 2-19-16 | ANTHONY JOSEPH

This is the terrifying collection of nearly 500 guns and 200,000 rounds of ammunition which was seized from a parish council chairman who collected firearms 'like stamps'. Police revealed the full extent of their discovery at the home of crane operator James Arnold in Wyverstone, Suffolk. It is the biggest arsenal of illegal weapons ever found in the UK. Three months after the discovery and the 49-year-old's arrest in April 2014, Arnold died of pancreatic cancer, meaning he could never face prosecution. But as firearms dealer Anthony Buckland, 65, was jailed for at Norwich Crown Court for supplying some of the weapons, Suffolk Police opened up its armoury to journalists to highlight the massive scale of the find.

Sadly, England still has Redcoats, but no Minutemen.

English citizens protecting themselves from Muslims with baseball bats instead of guns....they really need a Second Amendment.....didn’t we teach them anything?

Not feeling the terrified part.

Jealous of not having one or two of those models, though.

Our second amendment was based on English common law:

The Second Amendment was based partially on the right to keep and bear arms in English common-law and was influenced by the English Bill of Rights of 1689. Sir William Blackstone described this right as an auxiliary right, supporting the natural rights of self-defense, resistance to oppression, and the civic duty to act in concert in defense of the state.

That’s one damn fine collection. It’s too bad he couldn’t have put some lubricant like silicone on some of them. They were getting to look a little rough on the finish.

Nonetheless, an enviable collection.

Excellent post. Ironically they chose to do away with this right of self-defense and we see what happened there. This should be an inspiration to the people of the United States to keep our Second Amendment strong in the interest of our freedom.

I’m looking at many of the comments at the source and it seems that many over there share the common idea of England’s gun control absurdities. Which is comforting to a good extent.

I can remember watching an old rerun of “The Saint” and in the beginning it had the Simon Templar character (Roger Moore) speaking about guns and it featured him in a British gun shop with respectable men and women eyeing and handling various types of firearms. Back then, the U.K.’s firearms laws were quite very casual compared to now, and violent crime was almost unheard of.

Gawd, reading through that you can just imagine the soiled panties of the author! They get so much wrong and are so over the top with concern and incredulity at someone owning GUNS! And bullets (not ammunition)! And brass cases (not ammunition)!

Brits are such panty-wastes!
