Foodsavers work! With risotto, leave it in the freezer vacuum bag and boil or slow heat the pouch. Serves it almost fresh tasting!

Sous vide tastes great but there WILL be plastics in your food. Both my parents have Alzheimer’s and I wouldn’t ever knowingly eat food boiled in plastic. I fear that too much plastic in us hurts us. I don’t know this for a fact but it can’t be good, sorry to be a total Debbie Downer. I’ve heard how perfectly sous vide cooks steaks. There are some silicone bags but they don’t have a perfect seal yet.
