Well, aren’t you glad the subject of Lekvar came up on the Trump rally thread?!?! So now you can order some too :)
We love the Botanic/Ravinia area of Chicago. Even tho we don’t live there, our Lisle Arboretum membership provides reciprocity, so we go up there several times each year :)
My daughter was fascinated by the blooming of the Corpse flower this fall—it grows for 12 years, has a 6 foot tall flower, and the flower only blooms for 48 hours...The Garden sent out texts when it was blooming LOL. I think it is from Indonesia.
They also have a butterfly dome which is fairly new and is just a lot of fun to have them land on your arms, head, etc. My grandkids are a wee bit too small, but looking forward to taking them in next couple years ;)
Ravinia is it’s own special event :) Can just mosey from the garden over to Ravinia ;)
Eh, you can tell I am getting SPRING FEVER!!

Oh the wide range of topics that are discussed on these threads ;)
I would like to get spring fever but every time I go out side I see big piles of SNOW! LOL
The Botanic Gardens are gorgeous and have always loved going there. But now, with the kiddos in Texas.......;-(
If your grands aren't toddlers, then they'll be old enough for the butterflies. Tiny kids get a bit scared of anything landing on them.
Oh I know ALL about those CORPSE FLOWERS...they really DO stink to high heaven.
