Far, far away, and a long time ago (70’s) we would buy shrimp off the boats fresh. We took them home and headed them, then threw the batch into empty square milk cartons. When portioned, just add the lightly salted water to them, and freeze upright. After frozen, you could stack them to take less space. ALWAYS date them!

What a great idea! Those old milk cartons...They would work even better than the zip lock bags, not like these plastic milk jugs we have now. although plastic might work too, come to think of it : )
