Cruz and Rubio are quite fond of saying that they're just like Donald Trump...in between saying that you can't trust anything Trump is saying.

I don't believe either of them has any idea of what the word 'optics' means.

I knew a guy who was going to run against Ann Richards in Texas in 1992. He tried to tell people “I’m sorta’ like Ross Perot.” He told me he knew that probably wouldn’t work because he could be a twin of Perot but Perot’s people wouldn’t vote for him. In other words, “Perot can pull it off. I can’t.”

Same for Cruz.
