GOP frontrunner Donald Trump went after GOP rival Sen. Ted Cruz for missing a Senate vote on a bill that would have audited the Federal Reserve.
"It is so important to audit The Federal Reserve, and yet Ted Cruz missed the vote on the bill that would allow this to be done," Trump posted on Twitter on Monday afternoon.
Cruz missed a vote on legislation in the Senate that reportedly would have audited the Federal Reserve, as the Guardian noted, as did former Rep. Ron Paul to campaign for his son Sen. Rand Paul.
Paul referenced Cruz's missed vote, previously telling Iowans, "That's not the type of leadership we need in the White House."
Ben Jacobs, a reporter for the British newspaper The Guardian, reported Cruz has attempted to gather support from libertarian minded Republicans. "However, by skipping the vote on auditing the Fed, Cruz risks jeopardizing some of the credibility he has built in [the libertarian] faction of the Republican party. Auditing the Federal Reserve has long been an animating cause of Paul and his supporters and it has taken on major symbolic significance," Jacobs wrote.

Rally the troops to audit and skate off to GS for some money may have been his excuse?
Would his vote have made a difference?
I agree. Auditing the Fed is a big deal. Even anti-wall street warrior Fauxcohontas Warren doesn't want to audit the Fed.
The Fed, with ex-nihilo creation of money, and charging US citizens rent for using "their" money, and manipulation of interest rates is an affront to freedom and honesty.
Good post ..if anyone can and will do it , it’s Trump
What are you talking about?? Donald JR worships his dad?
You’re worship of anything trump.
This isn’t about me.
If the Fed is fully audited, why does Janet Yellen oppose it? Yeah, think about it.
“I strongly oppose Audit the Fed,” said Federal Reserve chief Janet Yellen, saying that it would “bring short-term political pressures to bear” on the central bank and dissuade it from making the “hard choices” needed to curb inflation.

Ted will want to audit the Fed once he hears about this. And call it his idea.

The anchor on Fox10, while I am waiting for Trump’s rally just mentioned that Ted Cruz at his rally today said
“We are going to win so much you are are going to be tired of winning”.
Where have we heard that before?
I keep holding out for Cruz...but he's starting to make me nervous. The eligibility issue is still in the back of my brain.
Better than worshiping a liar like Ted.
I think all 3 of Trump’s oldest children has a chance in politics and replace their father after 8 years of Donald
Good old “Coat-Tails” Ted ... one thing is for certain ,Ted knows how to ride Trump’s Coat-tails ...won’t matter ,Beck and Levin will never allow Ted to do it
..Cruz at his rally today said
âWe are going to win so much you are are going to be tired of winningâ....
No, that was whine. Whine so much.
Six months ago Trump as frontrunner just wasn't gonna happen. Stop repeating the propaganda of the enemy. The Fed can be audited. They're not gods. They're subject to the law same as anyone else. Andrew Jackson abolished the Bank of the United States. Auditing is just the beginning.
