I am voting for Cruz in the Texas primaries.
Even if the author was right, which I do no think he is, voting for the most conservative candidate pressures anyone who gets the nomination to run conservatively.
If we can not get conservative government by voting, there is ultimately no use in voting at all. The only thing left is revolution.
But lots of things can change in the primary season.
You either have core values and principles or you don’t. Trump is just one in a long line at squishy middle of the roadsters. I’ll vote Cruz.

If Lou Holtz had spent his entire adult life as a USC donor and then tried to get the coaching job at Notre Dame by insulting everyone on campus and finally slamming Catholic doctrine, the analogy might have some merit.
We have all sworn that we would never again vote for a RINO. Trump is indistinguishable from a Democrat and he has behaved like an ass; I will not vote for him at any level.
I wonder if the TPA will be applied to not only the TPP, but also the TTIP.

Reading the bile from what I call the Cruzers, as opposed to Cruz supporters, is astonishing.
I understand that tension is high here, it’s primary season. I understand that rabid posters on both sides go over the top, but the Cruzers on this thread, not Cruz supporters, I find incomprehensible. They’re going to give up the ship if their candidate loses, take their marbles and go home. I find that despicable.
There IS a conservative case for Trump, there is a conservative case for Cruz. I personally like them both, but for very different reasons. I do prefer Trump. My reasons are good ones. There are things I don’t care for in each, and they are very different.
One thing for sure, if Cruz wins, I’m going to support him. I’m glad for the sane Cruz supporters, but I have become totally exasperated with the amount of Cruzers who say they are not going to vote for Trump if he wins.
It’s ridiculous. And shameful.
