Maybe we should have condemned the Turks for shooting down a Russian plane...

The Turk response should be,”If you insist on placing your troops in the company of our enemy, it is you who puts them at risk.”

“Moscow is prepared to use tactical nuclear weapon”

Well as long as they are environmentally friendly I don’t have a problem with this.

Saw a video on Youtube this weekend where the Saudi Defense Minister stated that the Saudi’s have nukes and have had them for 2 years. The interview was in Arabic, subtiles supplied by Memri, but it was an astounding admission if true. I’ve been searching for corroboration but haven’t found anything yet.

If he thinks that he can get away with it and clearly uses it in defense of his forces, yes he will do it. The interesting part with be what happens next. Article 5 of the NATO treaty that would involve the US and all of NATO is based on defense of a NATO ally, but if the NATO ally is the aggressor, I am not sure that it applies. So if he were to do so over Syrian territory, Article 5 would likely not be invoked, although Turkey would clearly be calling for it. The Russian Nuclear arsenal is THE linchpin in Putin’s power. He would gladly demonstrate his willingness to use it. Never underestimate the extreme levels a narcissist will go to prove his merit.

If they are going to use them, now would be the time when we got the golfer/community organizer in the white house. No problemo and they’ll just hear some words that have no meaning.

I don’t expect it to happen this time, but who can doubt the future for this region laid out in the Bible. I think every human instinctively knows that something big and ugly will happen in this region.

Gosh. Remember what it was like when we used to have a real President?

A guy who could call up Erdogan and Putin and the Saudis and Soros and tell them to knock it off?

Instead, we have President Fumblebutt who is hoping to make a buck off this,

Turkey & Saudi Arabia should realize that Syria is a sovereign nation ruled by an elected president. Any attack on that country by foreign powers is an invasion that can be legitimately defended against by that nation & its allies - Russia, BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY.

Unlike Iraq & Afghanistan, there is no broad coalition of countries, backed by the UN Security Council, with authorization to invade & subjugate Syria.

Turkey’s proposed actions against Syria are probably illegal & don’t measure up to the requirements of NATO to trigger that alliances treaty. Obama will certainly not back Turkey’s aggression, nor will the EU, both too cowardly to act.

It's not a concern.

Turkey and the Saudis were never going to invade Syria, in spite of their bluster.

They would just love to have the excuse to use those same weapons to take and keep open the Bosporus, the sea of Marmara and the Dardanelles.

Rumors aside, the only relevant question is, "Would the Russians employ tactical nukes to protect their strike force?"

The Russians are not in this enterprise to lose.
