Jeb's 2016 departure draws out Mike Murphy critics (Jeb donors paid Murphy more than $14 million)
CNN ^ | 2/21/16 | Maeve Reston

In the unsparing judgment of the Twittersphere, there was one clear loser after Jeb's Bush's graceful exit from the Republican presidential race Saturday night: political strategist Mike Murphy and the Bush-allied super PAC Right to Rise USA, which he directed.

Murphy has long been one of Bush's closest advisers -- and the political world was in awe last year when Right to Rise raised $100 million just as Bush was launching his candidacy.

Now, the super PAC will go down in history as yet another failed Murphy juggernaut.

-snip-

"He made minimum of $14 million," the bundler said, requesting anonymity to speak freely about campaign strategy.

Funny how Jeb and even talk radio fell for having W come out to support Jeb would help him. W sealed Jeb’s fate in 08.

I wonder if the Twitter talk hurts his feelings.

Maybe a new house and boat will make him feel better.

I wouldn't worry to much. The man can cry all the way to the bank. All those numbers to the left of the decimal point will soothe his feelings, I'm sure.

Just remember the look on this other loser's face. You think he cares about his clients' losses?

Some on this thread have got it.

The candidate who spends the most on adverts on a particular media, will get rave reviews from that media.

I am not sure what I am more delighted about: 1) Watching Murphy (that arrogant preening tool of the Donor-Industrial-Complex) fall flat on his face or 2) watching Murphy rip off the donors who thought they could buy the white house for their puppet.

Like they always say in the GOP, win or lose the campaign manager’s check still cashes.

Pray America wakes

Great consultations, Murph. Brown nosing illegals and Latinos worked out just great, didn’t it?

Another overpaid, out of touch “expert”

The only winner in the Bush campaign was the sleezy bag Murphy.

I can only hope that the Podesta’s and Carville’s and Steyer’s and the whole lot of them on board the Hillary! campaign meet the same fate. I want Those wallets drained so much that they NEVER come back.

Why? are they disguising the fact that he is an establishment guy?

This is why I will not send one dime to the Republican Party.
Too many Mike Murphys in the mix. It is the same for both parties, corruption in the name of campaigns for elections.
The crooks laugh in our faces. What reform has ever worked?
Those huge contributors are buying the candidate who, like a common whore, promises great delights and does not deliver.

No, they’re presenting him as the “morning in America” guy...the new Reagan. Americans, particularly Republican voters are SO gullible..it’s disheartening.

I wonder if campaigns have to file some sort of financial statement - successful or not, is there an accounting of all monies taken in and paid out by category? Would like to see one in this case.

No, I’m afraid I did not. I just arrived in Japan, and have had only a few hours sleep in the last 2 days, so I’ll plead fatigue.

Mea culpa.

I vowed several elections ago to never support any loser candidate who hired Mike Murphy. He’s a hack. That definitely stood this cycle and as soon as I saw Jeb hired him, I knew Jeb would crash and burn. Good riddance to both.
