In the unsparing judgment of the Twittersphere, there was one clear loser after Jeb's Bush's graceful exit from the Republican presidential race Saturday night: political strategist Mike Murphy and the Bush-allied super PAC Right to Rise USA, which he directed.
Murphy has long been one of Bush's closest advisers -- and the political world was in awe last year when Right to Rise raised $100 million just as Bush was launching his candidacy.
Now, the super PAC will go down in history as yet another failed Murphy juggernaut.

"He made minimum of $14 million," the bundler said, requesting anonymity to speak freely about campaign strategy.

Good for him. It’s better than
giving it to the media.
Gonna be real nice to be able to watch FNC without seeing those horrible Right to Rise ads.
Jeb! was the death knell to conventional political campaigning and financing. Cruz’s failed “secret army” put the fork in the “ground game” as well.
Trump spent the least and got the best results. And he didn’t waste any time or money on the Mike Murphy types.
When political pundants and advisors are locked into the Washington beltway, they can’t see what is happening outside. They keep belieiving what they say to each other.
If only candidates would start demanding a money back guarantee, turd blossomed like murphy and rove would dry up and blow away.
This is why we must overturn citizens United— money buys elections /s
“there was one clear loser after Jeb’s Bush’s graceful exit from the Republican presidential race Saturday night: political strategist Mike Murphy”
I’d love to be a loser like him - $14 mils!!
You nailed it.
“Trump spent the least and got the best results.”
Funny how telling the unvarnished truth is the cheapest, surest way to winning an election! Who Knew? It would be one of the elements of “political justice” to see all these “political consultants” on an never ending bread line, along with the TV ad guys. Maybe the MSM will start providing more “product air time” and less advertising. This one to one crap needs to stop.
I wonder if the Twitter talk hurts his feelings.
Maybe a new house and boat will make him feel better.
Citizens United put corporations on the same footing as unions, which is why it was an important victory, unless you believe that unions were going to b brought to heel like corprations (and I do not believe that).
Somehow in a demented way, Rove likely made $$ off this debacle. I despise the whole lot of them.
Outrageous!
A colossal waste of money!
That alone proves Bush is a p!ss poor money manager!
Bush, Murphy and their clique are representative of our nation’s government at large
Elitist, central planners, convinced of their own righteousness, who spend other people’s money without any sense of responsibility - and are completely WRONG.
RE: #14
Exactly! I’d be all for taking corporate and union money out of elections. Both of them, not just one of them.
Karl Rove’s salary was paid for out of the $10 million dollars that Mike Murphy spent on advertising on Fox News.
I don’t know who made Jeb’s commercials...but they sucked, big time. As much as I absolutely DESPISE Rubio, whoever is doing his political advertisements is doing a VERY good job.
