Is this true about Carson? Anyone else heard about this?

Who knows? But I will say this, one of the assertions made in the article is that Carson's fundraising is "borderline unethical" and there is a link. I decided to follow that to see what was shady about it. It turns out that he does most of his fundraising through direct mail. That is costly and so he spends half of what he takes in covering his fundraising. Bad management and inefficient but borderline unethical? No. The rest of what is stated is thus suspect of being subject to the same penchant for hyperbole.

For a man that has no staff and no chance. of winning the race to be soliciting funds to run is unethical. To be doing it by direct mail is untraceable.

I think you may have miiissed the point.
