Walsh gravitated to electric guitar as a sort of offshoot to his amateur radio hobby. Electronics was his first love. I'm really glad he took a shine to guitar. Total natural. I missed a chance to see him in some small beer-joint venue in northern Ohio in the early 1970's. Should have made the short trip. Three dollar cover charge or some such nonsense.

He, like Alice Cooper, is a totally different person offstage.
