Carson and his team are liars. They knew Cruz had not leaked the story of this meeting, because THEY reported it to The Daily Beast, which was the first report on it and the source for all later reports.
Cruz’s team had simply passed on to others what CNN had reported - based on the accurate information that Carson’s own team had told CNN. Carson’s team clarified in a tweet that Carson WOULD campaign (which he actually didn’t). Cruz apologized for not passing on the correction when they found out about it later in the evening. Carson would not truly forgive Cruz and everybody jumped on the chance to paint Cruz as a slimy liar, though nobody could point out to me the factually inaccurate words that Cruz’s team knew to be factually inaccurate. Didn’t matter; truth mustn’t stop a good lynching - not even by the so-called “good Christians” here on FR. It’s STILL going on.
But this - there is no doubt that this was a deliberate lie to frame Cruz for something he did not do, in order to libel his character.
Despicable. Carson is not the good man I thought he was. And neither are a lot of Freepers that I once respected.
Carson doesn’t seem to believe your version of this event.
He is determined to make Cruz pay. He won’t leave this race.
There’s no certainty that Carson’s supporters would go to Cruz, but my guess would be one other the other outsider candidates: Cruz or Trump.
There’s bad blood there butterdezillion. I think Carson BELIEVES Cruz did him dirty. Perhaps you are right, but someone has convinced Carson otherwise.
