Cruz couldn't resist a dig on Trump
Vanity | Vanity

Posted on 02/20/2016 6:50:17 PM PST by FormerRep

Ted Cruz couldn't resist an attack by name on Trump in his speech. Trump gave him and Rubio gracious congratulations for their campaigns. Rubio took high ground and was collegial to Trump and Jeb.

Cruz sure does attack a lot for a guy that says I won't attack my competition....

Who’s depressed? We are really only 1 and 1. Cruz Iowa, Trump SC. Unless you want to pretend that New Hampshire was representative of America.

There are nine days until Super Tuesday, nine days for Mr. Orange to lash out a real juicy something that’ll smash him right against the wall.

These next nine days Trump will be relentlessly sliming the new #2 target Rubberio in prime New York values style. Being SC #3 by 0.05% has its advantages.

He actually hasn’t done bad against the media, trumpy, cabana boy, RNC, senate and morons like you. People like you will elect a progressive like trump and will some day regret it, he is the republican version of obama.

Meanwhile, I am going to vote for the first democrat of my life. Go Bernie. He and Joe both can clean trumps clock.

To me, it is an insulting term, such as that Megyn Kelly is a stupid blonde.

The main American definition of "bimbo" seems to be a woman who puts forward sexuality instead of brains. (It's originally an Italian word, meaning "babe.") Clearly, Megyn does have some brains.

But to be fair, Megyn has posed for soft porn photos that are on the Internet; she often wears very revealing clothes at DC dressy events; she went on the Howard Stern show and talked about her breast size, her husband's penis size and their sex life; and at that first debate where she and Donald got into a dust up, she wore a cocktail dress, extremely false eyelashes, lots of makeup and "bed-head" tousled hair extensions. Since then, she has been criticized for looking trampy and has toned down her look severely. So there might have been some justification for being called a bimbo, because she had been walking that line.

I didn't appreciate Trump dissing Carly Fiorina; that was unchivalrous and rude. But the Rosie O'Donnell feud is a different matter entirely. She had been badmouthing Trump for some time on The View and made it personal towards him and his family. So he let her have it, and they both got a lot of ratings out of it. But truth be told, when she had her heart attack, Donald sent her a get-well message.

New York tough guy talk is not well appreciated outside of the NY-Philly-Jersey area; but often such people do have a lot of heart. The verbal stuff is a sort of street theater. It helps if you live in a dense environment full of dangers and threats. I had a pretty terrible trashmouth when I lived in a city, to protect my family members in the neighborhood streets that were often infiltrated with bad guys looking to steal, rob, litter, assault or vandalize; and I'm a woman. It just went with the territory.

I lack the hubris to play God about the final disposition of anyone’s soul.

I think we are expected to have a relationship, not a less smudged list of rules that we grudgingly kept, more or less.

I will stand by my statements.

"I wish he had played the long game and had ridden Trump's coattails ...:

Would that make him born in the US, of two US citizen parents?

No, but it would have given him time to get that worked out, and set his goals accordingly.

I despair of thinking I will ever see a court system uphold the Constitution again in my lifetime; but a gal can dream.

He's led a sinful life. Lots of info in that regard online, in books, etc.

All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God, according to the Bible. So did Saint Paul. He said so himself, and there is a lot written about that, how he persecuted and killed Christians before his conversion. Even after his conversion, Paul still complained that he didn't do what he should do and did do what he shouldn't. Then there was King David, who killed a man, one of his best soldiers, so he could take the man's wife for himself. Yet he wrote most of the Book of Psalms that Christians read every Sunday in their church services; and even Jesus praised him in the New Testament hundreds of years later.

People can grow and change. The article you referenced contained a lot of Trump's mistakes from decades ago. Yet he has wonderful grown children and has been with Melania with no gossip of any cheating for the past 18 years. As long as he's not running around now and not cheating on you personally, give him a chance. He's not running for marriage counselor.

I assure you, Mr. Orange will not win Texas.

On March 2 some here will have to reassess the fun and games of flipping the world the bird and decide between getting on the real conservative bandwagon or sitting at home in Nov. like good little ronpaulistas.

How could anyone be more liberal than:

-signing a liberalized abortion law - 1967
-giving amnesty to illegal aliens in America - 1986
-supporting the Brady bill against the 2nd amendment - 1991
-coming out in support of NAFTA - 1992

Yet Ronald Reagan did all of that and more.

Some people are truly delusional. They set up straw man conservative standards that even Ronald Reagan can’t measure up to.

Who is the bigger liberal, Reagan or Trump?

That is an interesting observation. Considering how convincingly you are acting like a loser.

Trump has never asked forgiveness.

That does't mean he hasn't regretted his past behavior and been ashamed of it. Nor did he say "never". In fact, he may have groveled in agony over some of his past choices, but it's not in his personality to talk about something so personal on television. A protestant's confessions are more secret than a Catholic's because there is no confessor to witness it. It's between him and God alone. He has changed his behaviors in many areas of his life and has been with Melania without any reports of cheating for 18 years. People can change.

Let him who casts the first stone...judge not, remember that part. How do you truly judge another? By their fruits? Words?

And look at you .. even though you won .. you can’t even be civil.

You’re the pathetic ones .. take your Trump worship somewhere else .. back to the Twitter sewer is probably more suitable.

Yeah *I* won. No I didn’t win anything. It’s NOT ABOUT ME! You are making it about me, making it personal, and you say I’m not being civil?? Like I said, pathetic.

I was not caught lying, you were. And about four people corrected you. And you were lying about me personally. More personal attack profanity, and ad hominem.

I do appreciate your continued confirming my observation “For your guy winning tonight in SC, damn few of the trumpbots are acting much like winners”.

This early in the process, tying is far from winning or losing.
