LEAVE DONALD ALONE!
Got it. FACT and truth do not matter. What matters is an absolute desperate fanatic devotion to the Trump cult.
“Trump: I like the nmandate”.
Just as you Tediban twist the “government pays to keep people from dying in the streets” into “Trump supports single payer”, you are twisting, “everyone should have coverage” into “Trump supports Obamacare mandate.”
Trump has said he wants to set up Health Care Savings accounts, remove state line boundaries of insurance coverage, reinstate high risk pools, encourage people to get inexpensive catastrophic health insurance to go with there health savings account.
In any event, with health savings accounts “everyone will be covered”, there is no need for a mandate. Visiting the doctor will return to a cash transaction between the doctor and the patient. This absolutely terrifies the insruance companies, and the legions of administrators who live off the current third-payer system.
So the question is: Are you an agent-provocateur for the establishment cabal, or do you think that Ted Cruz is Yah’s dedicated servant to restore Christian dominance in America, or are you just so blind you can not see what is going on in America, today?
Wow, you completely ignored the context. Guess you just want to argue blindly forward regardless of reality. It’s ok. Have a nice day.
You can ignore this part too if ya like:
TRUMP: Obama lied. Remember this.
COOPER: A person with a pre-existing condition should be able to get insurance?
TRUMP: Yes. Obama lied when he said you’re gonna keep your plan, you get to keep your doctor. I was a pure lie. Frankly many democrats went along only because they believed him. He lied twenty-eight times. Twenty-eight times he said it. Twenty-eight times. If that were in the private sector you be sued for fraud. Okay? He lied to get the plan through. He got it through and it’s turned out to be a disaster. The wrong people are buying it. You know what’s happening. It’s dead. It’s gonna Look, ObamaCare is dead. It’s gonna be repealed, gonna be replaced. But I will say this, Anderson, if we don’t do something quickly you can have a health care problem that you like you’ve never seen before in this country. Now the new plan is good, it’s going to be inexpensive, it’s going to be much better for the people. But there’s gonna be a group of people at the bottom people that haven’t done well, people that don’t have any money that won’t be able to be taken care of. We’re gonna take care of them through maybe concepts of medicare. We have hospitals that aren’t doing well. We have doctors aren’t doing well. You cannot let people die on the street, okay? Now some people would say that’s not a very Republican thing to say. Every time I say this at a rally, or even today I said it, once again a standing ovation, I said, you know, the problem is everybody thinks that you people as Republicans hate the concept of taking care of people that are really, really sick and are gonna die. And that’s not single-payer, by the way, that’s called heart. We’ve gotta take care of people that can’t take care of themselves. But the plans will be much less expensive than Obamacare, they’ll be far better than Obamacare, you’ll get your doctor you get everything you want to get, it’ll be unbelievable. But you’ve got to get rid of the lines. You’ve got to have competition. those people that are left, we gotta help them live and everybody likes it when I say it, and that includes Republicans and its not single-payer.
Wrong. See post 44.
The people of the U. S. don’t like the mandate, Mr. Trump.
I think he's a Bot. He just copies and pastes the same replies over and over in emotionally based screeds...and has for years, until he get a time out on occasion or outright disappears, and usually shows up around election time. I know, I've been monitoring the program for almost a decade.
We especially don’t like forcing religious groups to pay for abortions that is included in the Obamacare mandate.
And maybe trump is just confused about what the mandate really is. I can see that. And maybe this is all about him merely being confused.
Ok. Fine. But to say he didn't say those exact words is simply false. If your argument is - Trump didn't understand what the mandate is - then that is entirely a different argument. And we are just going to talk circles around each other. I hope who ever the heck gets elected has no government required mandate to purchase health insurance. That is where I stand.
trump said he liked the mandate. There is only the obamacare mandate currently so that would be the one he is agreeing with.
Spin it as you will, henshouldmhave stood against it like, Cruz or even Rubio would have.
When he is not doing personal attacks he flubs lot of answers.
Where is his lawsuit against Cruz?
When we people dying in the streets? This implies that Obamacare solved this problem that really never existed.
BINGO!!!!!!
and the sad part is what used to be my most favorite forum , FREE REPUBLIC , has become a screaming internet room of Trump kool-aid drinkers, supporting ANYTHING he says, because he screams and is mad, and is going to build a WALL...
Yep, yet another Democrat talking point co-opted by the GOP front runner.
Oh Child, I see your are another one of the “Reagan Myth” worshipers.
The Reagan myth runs something like this. Reagan, after beating both Carter and the GOP Political Establishment rode into DC, took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves , and proceeded to beat the snot out of everyone in DC.
The real Reagan was a much more human, flawed, man. Reagan went to DC and proceed to cut a whole lot of deals with a Democrat Congress to move his political ball down the field. He surrendered on any number of political issues that resulted in the âConservative Media Establishmentâ writing in 1986 about how Reagan had âbetrayed the Conservative Movement.â
Reagan has some advice for your sort of Political purists.
By Ronald Reagan in his autobiography An American Life
âWhen I began entering into the give and take of legislative bargaining in Sacramento, a lot of the most radical conservatives who had supported me during the election didnât like it. âCompromiseâ was a dirty word to them and they wouldnât face the fact that we couldnât get all of what we wanted today. They wanted all or nothing and they wanted it all at once. If you donât get it all, some said, donât take anything. Iâd learned while negotiating union contracts that you seldom got everything you asked for. And I agreed with FDR, who said in 1933: âI have no expectations of making a hit every time I come to bat. What I seek is the highest possible batting average.â If you got seventy-five or eighty percent of what you were asking for, I say, you take it and fight for the rest later, and thatâs what I told these radical conservatives who never got used to it.â
About the only thing I can agree with in all that Trump said is "ubelievable". As in "it's unbelievable that anyone honestly, truly believes that Trump has the faintest idea on how to replace Obamacare."
Thank you for the personal attack, which I’ll ignore. To the point: all of us know the meaning of compromise. My job requires such a perspective. However, on some issues, such as a Federal mandate to purchase a commodity, I cannot compromise. It’s telling to me that you seem to disagree with me on this specific matter.
When you respond in other 2 minutes like that to 2 pages of text you indicate you are not thinking, your are emoting.
********
Trump never used the word "individual." You are the first on this thread to use it to twist Trump's meaning. I watched the town hall live and I never believed Trump's response was about the individual mandate (which I believe to be unconstitutional).
Trump will sue people with pre-existing conditions.
Bury head in sand.
