Supernanny Jo Frost's reality TV crew filmed a father 'disciplining' his son with a belt after the youngster was sent to his room.
The footage was filmed by CCTV cameras installed in the Spivey family's home in Gwinnett County, Georgia last October.
While reviewing the footage, researchers saw the incident between Chris Spivey and his son Marcus which began in the family's living room.
The nine-year-old boy is told to go to his room over an allegation he had used his father's cell phone charger without permission.
The youngster is shown making his way slowly up the stairs.
But shockingly, Spivey stands up from his couch and removes his leather belt before following his son upstairs.
The youngster can be heard crying in the room but the footage, which was broadcast on the UP channel last night, does not show any beating.

I had to cut my own switches, too. The best part was, I got to use my dad’s penknife while doing it. My dear old momma told me about the last time she spanked me. She preferred her hand to a switch and she bent me over and gave me a swat. Turns out I had something in my pocket, a rock or who knows what and it hit on her palm and broke a blood vessel making a bruise and swelling. I was unaware and ignoring her spanking anyway, so she decided that was enough with the spankings for her.
We weighed carefully whether any misbehaviour was worth the potential penalty, but even that was not a perfect deterrent...
Got the belt, got the switch...both were applied to my hindquarters...so?
My aunt sent us out to the lilac (?) bush to pick out our own switch...if it was too small; she sent you back to get a new one.
LOLOL...the psychotics are people who think a 'time out' is punishment.

and fly swatter and shoe and wooden spoon and........I could go on but my point is I did something to get whipped for, if I hadn’t I wouldn’t have gotten spanked.............. my estimation is that discipline has probably kept me out of jail and other situations countless times in my life.
Forgot the classic fly swatter...
belting a kid for using a phone charger without asking......What did he use it for may be the question.

Switch Psyops - LOL! My mom used the same psyops on me - “go and get me a switch, young man!” And my trudge began.
If I didn’t pick out a big enough one, she certainly would.
Then one day we were burning leaves in the front yard and the switch bush just HAPPENED to get burnt right up. Did I have anything to do with it? - well lets just say I didn’t risk my life to save it ;)
I remember my dad giving me the belt when I didn’t go to my room fast enough. Is that supposed to be child abuse now?
