Today was a big beautiful day. Today was the day I started phone calling for Ted Cruz at home. In the comfort of my cozy abode, I called about 95 residences in the Texas area likely to come out and vote for Ted Cruz. Many were not home, or did not answer. I contacted around 55 total people, a few in the same household. Did I take perfect notes? No. These numbers are based on crude tally-marking on a sheet of note paper. It was actually kind of fun; most of all, I felt like I was making a difference.
Drum Roll Pleaseâ¦.42 people said they were voting for, or already had voted for Ted Cruz (early voting is going on in Texas). Ten were undecided, two said no. Knowing myself, I delved a little deeper into the minds of the undecideds-going a little off script. I asked some of these nice Texans if they were willing to tell me why they were undecided. I had about 4 people tell me that they didnât know what to make out of the âliesâ they were hearing about Ted.
Granted, most people really donât pay much attention to politics unless it makes the headlines. But in my mind, this kind of proved what Iâve been thinking. What is Tedâs platform? TrusTed.
Trump canât stand on the issues, so heâs calling Ted a âliarâ. The ironic part of that is that he lies almost everyday, flip-flopping like a fish, whatever will win him votes. Rubio is calling Cruz a liar because he is running as far away from his record as he can. With the help of surrogates like Trey Gowdy, they are going full throttle on Cruz. By the way, did you know Terry Bransted (Governor of Iowa) sonâs ethanol lobby PAC

snore. I’m sure they could get a very similar story from every single campaign, Clinton, Bernie, Bush, Trump, Rubio, Kasich, Carson, etc. Just another Red State effort to aid Cruz, doesn’t seem to be working too well, if the polls are to be believed.
Sorry, I didn’t read it. Was he the usher that brought the disabled to cruz to be healed by the face of God? Or is that still beck’s job?
Can’t tell if you’re serious anymore or just witty, in any case that was good for a laugh.
Tedstate has already declared their bias. Reading one of their hit pieces is a waste of time.
Was he the usher that brought the disabled to cruz to be healed by the face of God?

I see you’re still carrying Trump’s “water of lies” since you folks have nothing substantial policy wise.
LOL. The Trumpsters are out in full force this afternoon. Good story though.
Being an advocate for the best qualified man in the field - bar none - is the very best kind of bias. Sign me up!
Lost me with the comment that undecided were confused by the lies ABOUT Cruz. I think anyone committed to a candidate should enjoy the day. Funny how she got 42 of 55 people to Cruz side. Back when I made calls for GOP in general I never heard any one get such great percentages.
If you had called me, I would probably have hung up on you.
My phone rings day and night. I’m almost to the point of holding it against those who call. Such a nuisance.
Haven’t decided this year. I’ll vote Republican, and only in the last few weeks have I ruled Trump out. I think his cowardly avoidance of the Iowa debate was the final straw. Watching him make a fool of himself in the South Carolina debate showed why he ducked out in Iowa.
Rubio? Cruz? Carson? I’ll know by March 1.
Meanwhile, please don’t call.
Thanks for the report. Four voting adults in our Texas family already voted for Cruz. Polls not very busy yet but it’s early.
I might volunteer for them, they sent me a couple of emails asking. I’ve just been so busy with work stuff I can barely see straight.
Of course not on my part, just a true statement that your post was funny.

Polling place was fairly busy yesterday around 11am. I got right in but I took the last open machine. I was happy to vote FOR Ted and AGAINST Donny Kardashian.
“..42 people said they were voting for, or already had voted for Ted Cruz (early voting is going on in Texas). Ten were undecided, two said no. ..”
Cool!
I’ll have to make phone calls for Ted Cruz, from the comfort of my home, as well.
Hope others will join me/us.
Good for you!
Of course, if you really want to do something useful, you could insult other people around here. That seems to be very important to many these days.
You can always count on Red State for a good laugh.
