During Wednesday night's CNN Republican Town Hall, Cruz was asked about his relationship with his colleagues. "From time to time, we see articles written in the paper or on television that you don't get along with some of the Republican senators--your colleagues in Washington. If you are going to have a problem with them, what are you going to say to them as president to get them on board so that we can get legislation passed?"
In his answer, Cruz explained, "it's not that I speak with a lack of civility or respect, I mean you have seen in the presidential campaign as other people insult me, impune my integrity, I don't respond in kind. The Bible talks about if someone treats you unkindly, repay them with kindness. It's like heaping coals on the top of their head. That has been the standard I have tried to follow, that's how I have approached it in the Senate. So, I have not attacked or insulted my colleagues in the senate, Democrat or Republican. even if I disagree with them on the issues."
Cruz went on to say that people say he's unlikeable because he honors "the commitments that I made to the women and men who elected me."
However, Cruz has not only attacked his colleagues, but his attacks have helped him gain support of those disenchanted with the Republican establishment.
Last July, Cruz called Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell a liar. "What we just saw today was an absolute demonstration that not only what he told every Republican senator, but what he told the press over and over and over again, was a simple lie." In October, he also called McConnell, "the most effective Democratic leader in modern times."

I look at it like FINALLY we have a presidential candidate who doesn’t put up with crap being thrown at him that is untrue. We all complained about Bush jr not sticking up for himself and now you are concerned that Trump does it. You have to make up your mind. You have no idea what you want in a leader which is why Trump needs to be President. You are too emotionally involved in Cruz. it is a disease so it’s best you sit this out because you are unsure what you really want in a leader.

Since you came here long after the events that gave FR its big thrust into the national limelight, perhaps you are not aware that cordiality here has always been only between friends.
It was the Clinton crime family’s endorsement of sleaze in the oval office that gave us that life giving launch toward relevance.

Looks to me like a plain political hit piece article, as the only example I saw listed was when Cruz called McConnell a liar. But if McConnell did tell them what Cruz claims, then Cruz was correct. Sometimes the truth hurts.
As to the Rubio/Obama picture, imo that is a satirical political advertisement, trying to make a point that Rubio did indeed work on Obama’s side trying to pass the “gang of eight” bill. Rubio should not have thrown in with Schumer and that bunch.

Seems to me with Cruz’s vast service to our country he has certainly come into his own time over the years.....and now to lead this nation.... I believe we have the right man now to do the job that’s ‘needed’....and it won’t succeed without it being a man of God...that does not mean a Preacher and Ted has no history at all where he’s pushed his faith on anyone...he knows what his responsibilities are in both arena’s.
But here’s his words regarding such matters as President....I agree with them....

“I am a Christian and the Word says if you are ashamed of Jesus He will be ashamed of you.. I don’t intend to have that conversation with my maker”.... Cruz said. “My ‘responsibility as president’ is to defend the constitutional rights of every American... to keep every American safe,”
Exactly. And lying seems to be that Cruz supporter’s problem.

Trump is leading in the polls. He hasn’t won yet. I have to do what I can to keep that from happening, despite the fact that there are those who, like you are blinded to his tremendous flaws and faults.
