The Pope: Trump's Not a Christian
Rush Limbaugh ^ | 2/18/2016 | Rush Limbaugh

Posted on 02/18/2016 1:31:43 PM PST by GilGil

RUSH: Trump brought up a good point. He said, "When has the pope ever questioned the faith of another private citizen?" And, folks... By the way, folks, don't anybody... Don't anybody...

I'm just warning you here: Don't anybody ask about the president's religion! Don't even get close to going there. Don't do it. That is a forbidden area. You cannot even ask about it. The pope can go ahead and claim that Trump is not a Christian, but you can't go there when we talking about the president of the United States. Trump wants to know, has the pope ever questioned Obama's faith? Has the pope ever questioned any other private citizen's faith?

Has he questioned the faith of the Castro brothers? Has the pope questioned the faith of any communist leaders? He spends a lot of time in communist countries.

Has he ever said that Mao Tse-tung, that Fidel Castro, that Raul Castro, any other communist is not a Christian? Why Donald Trump? 'Cause Trump wants to build a wall? Have you seen the Vatican wall? I got a picture here I could show you on the Dittocam if I had the time and where it is. It's over 50-feet high. It's over 50-feet high. It's not even the kind of wall Trump's talking about building...

"The pope also broke with his predecessors by suggesting that Catholic lawmakers are free to vote for same-sex marriage and civil unions." Folks, I'm sure you in this audience understand. This is why I have been trying to make the case or state my belief that the fundamental matter of importance is defeating the Democrat Party.

Indeed-but at least we still have the means to undo that if we are quick about it and don’t back down to the establishment...

The salient point about the Pope's "wall" comment is: ONLY TRUMP WILL BUILD A WALL.

And the Pope knows it. In other words, the Pope knows that Cruz won't build a wall, despite Cruz saying in one or more debates, parroting Trump, that he would build a wall.

Only Trump Will Build A Wall, the Pope Agrees

Viva Political Incorrectness! It seems to me we have gotten nowhere by being politically correct, so maybe these two individuals will move things along.

“Judge ye not” is yet another part of the Bible the Pope seems to have skipped over.

Pretty sure the Pope is catholic and has nothing to do with Baptists, Methodists, or any other Christain churches. This Pope means little to me. He’s a commie one-worlder.

Yes

No, he didn't. His Holiness said "If someone talks of raising walls instead of building bridges he is not a Christian." Pope Francis never mentioned Trump by name.

Calm down. Trump is getting on my last nerve, but on this the pope is wrong and Trump is right.

And while I might question Trump’s Christianity, I don’t question his willingness to defend America. And am beginning to question the pope’s Christianity; this is the first pope in my lifetime whose actual Christian faith I question. Thats sad to say.

The mudslinging in these threads (and in the press) does not represent the real world. For most Cruz people, Trump is their #2. I tend to believe that for most Trump people, Cruz will be their #2. I don’t really see a #3 for either of us.

If it was a real pope like Benedictine going after you I’d worry. In the case of Francis, he talks in circles and will change his mind three times before the week is out.

The vicar of Christ

The bishop of Rome..

in a direct line from Peter..

Yeah I’m very glad my family decided he was a fake...starting way back in the 1500s...before the St Bartholomew’s Day Massacre, August 24, 1572 when the pope murdered about 30,000 Protestants...men, woman, and children, just because they didn’t agree with him..

all told over the years 200,000 Huguenots fled from France and the popes for their lives ...

If this were then, the pope would be after Trump to kill him...

Since he cant he tries to kill his chances at the White House..

Technically, no. But it was in response to a question posed to him and the name Trump WAS mentioned.

Every news outlet in the world is reporting that your pope was taking a swipe at Donald Trump.

Really, this time, it cannot be explained away on FR or anywhere else: Everyone knows he meant to criticize Trump.

More than one candidate is talking about building a wall, as I'm sure His Holiness is aware. More than one candidate calls himself a Christian, most with more claim to the title than Trump. It's Trump hubris to think that Pope Francis meant him and him alone. But to say "Trump hubris" is redundant.
