Pope Francis, apparently desperate to reach out to the Catholic Churchâs growing base in Latin America, spent the day slapping Americans in the face from across the US-Mexico border.
In Ciudad Juarez, one of the most violent cities in the Western Hemisphere thanks to the drug cartels, the pope walked up a ramp covered in flowers toward a cross âerected⦠in memory of migrants who have perished trying to reach the United States just a stoneâs throw away,â according to Reuters.
Funny, he never did that while visiting Cuba to pay tribute to those who died attempting to escape that Communist hellhole. He reserved his spite for a nation with one of the most generous immigration policies on the planet.
The pope then blessed three more small crosses, at which âshoes of migrants who diedâ were laid. âWe cannot deny the humanitarian crisis,â Pope Francis intoned. âEach step, a journey laden with grave injustices: the enslaved, the imprisoned and extorted; so many of these brothers and sisters of ours are the consequence of trafficking in human beingsâ¦Injustice is radicalized in the young; they are âcannon fodder,â persecuted and threatened when they try to flee the spiral of violence and the hell of drugs. Then there are the many women unjustly robbed of their lives.â
He concluded, âLet us together ask our God for the gift of conversion, the gift of tears, let us ask him to give us open hearts like the Ninevites, open to his call heard in the suffering faces of countless men and women. No more death! No more exploitation!
This came shortly after the pope said that capitalism cut against God, and that God would punish âslave drivers of our daysâ supposedly exploiting workers, adding, âThe flow of capital cannot decide the flow of people.â

Capitalism bad. America bad place, because capitalism.
But America bad to the max, because it won't let peoples from Mexico and Central America, where there is only socialism, come to America, where there is capitalism, which is bad.
Question: Why does the Holy Father want people to emigrate to a bad place, where there is such extreme capitalist badness?
In catechetical terms, wouldn't that be exposing them to the near occasion of bad?
The “slave drivers” he speaks of are the socialist cronies and corrupt power-mongers that rule Latin America.
Francis is old. He won’t be around for a long time. Any foolish statements he makes will just be footnotes in history.
The traitors in the Curia are old and dying out and the Third World is becoming the new center which does not have any love for Modernism.
The papacy has been through far worse.
I also think this pope is mentioned in the Book of Revelation.
I’m looking forward to the Vatican Bridge that this Pope will erect when he tears down his wall.
WOW! Is the Pope running in the SC primary too?
Is the Pope TRYING to get The Donald elected?
Like the Colossus of Rhodes, The Donald stands at the gateway to history, some kind of monument to the potential of giving the spirit of the times free rein to accomplish all that a free people are capable of.
Can The Donald do it? Like I say, the air is fraught with potential. We have to take back the freedom first.
Ben Shapiro. Just watched a YouTube video of him yesterday speaking against homophobia.
If the pope thinks America and capitalism are evil, why isn’t he telling Mexicans to stay out of the US, and that it is a sin to covet the US culture? He should be telling all the illegals to leave the US immediately and go home.
Ok! Forget the ESTABLISHMENT Republican and Democrat parties.... looks like TRUMP is now running against the entire world ESTABLISHMENT!
I’m Catholic and I’m NOT FOND of this Pope.
In the last election, the Republican ticket had the “Nuns on the Bus” telling us we could not support Paul Ryan’s the budget, because we did not do enough for the poor.
The Nuns on a Bus are a Social Justice Group. See link below..
Anyone remember this?
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/06/us/us-nuns-bus-tour-to-spotlight-social-issues.html?_r=0
He may not be “the” one, but he’s doing a good trial run as False Prophet.
The Vatican has nice walls and guards. Perhaps Trump can contract with the Vatican to build the walls.
As far as wealth and poverty goes, I see a lot of poor Catholics in the world and a lot of gold stuff at the Vatican contrasted with the fact that capitalism has lifted more people out of poverty in the world than anything else.
I guess it’s fair to say this pope is a leftist. Or stupid. Or both.
Apostasy....
The elderly gentleman in front of me in line at the grocery store just said:
“This here Pope is dummern’dirt.”
: )
capitalism is the economic system that is compatible with God-given natural rights, objective reality, and rational morality
I’m not a fan of the pope, but apparently he’s creeped out by the oranged headed liar from New York too.
Creepy. He’s like a used care salesman with no self control.
And a liar. Let’s not forget.
