Kind of a backward reformer. Are they hoping to garner more membership thereby? Not that this kind of thinking is only Roman Catholic... never fear, Protestants have megachurches too, and some sell out so bad that you can hardly tell the difference between Christian and “nice.”

By what right doe he claim to know this? To say some one is not a Christian because their politics are different takes us back 8 centuries. The pope clearly is ting to steer catholics to Hilary. This pope can take his September and stick it up his ass.
I will say that I have heard Protestant preachers give excellent sermons, which were nearly identical to things the nuns used to tell me in grade school.

Sadly, though most are social Conservatives, the majority of my Catholic neighbors pull that straight party Dem handle every year. Cause “they’re for da WORKIN’ MAN!”
This despite the fact the people they are electing never met an abortion they wouldn’t vote for.
IMO this has to do with several prominent Priests who got involved in the labor movement here in the 30’s and 40’s. Most Catholics here still drink the Union Kool-Aid even today.

It never occurred to me that the Pope was speaking with infallibility. I don’t know where you got that idea. I stated that the Cardinals screwed up by electing this particular individual to sit on that throne. NONETHELESS, infallibility notwithstanding, the Pope does tend to speak with influence, whatever his opinion.
Instead of going after Trump (and those who object to the massive breach of our border and raiding of our states’ and national treasuries) as not being Christian, the Pope might have addressed the nominally Catholic leaders of the countries of Central and South America who have created a situation where so many are anxious to flee, and do so at great cost and danger.
The Pope is insulated. He is protected. He governs a world-wide Church that has its own ‘borders’ and ‘limits.’ As a non-Catholic I have never gone up to the Eucharist rail because I know I do not qualify under the rules of the Catholic Church to receive Holy Communion. I have respected that. In fact, I have respected it more than several of my Catholic friends who don’t even understand why the RCC rule applies to the Eucharist. Apparently now this Pope thinks we shouldn’t have any limits/borders/rules/sovereignty and I should be free to just march up and demand Communion? Sure is what it sounds like.
Limbaugh commented on this today. He wondered why the pope has not questioned the Castro brother’s Christianity or why he has not questioned the communist dictators whom he has visited and responsible for the deaths of millions of people.
Why is he picking on Trump?
I love it thought. Trump has elevated himself on the international stage where he is fighting the good fight.
At the same time the pope has also said it is ok for catholic priests to perform same sex marriage ceremonies without fear from the church. Wonderful!

Both Trump and Francis are absolute disasters.
