If conservative pundits like Ann Coulter and Breitbart's John Nolte want to make fools of themselves, so be it. But as a Christian and by consequence a political conservative, I want no part of the Donald Trump campaign.
I admit to being initially amused by The Donald's antics, and delighted by the fits he was giving the mainstream press and Republican establishment so desperate to eliminate him. But the longer this reality TV show has dragged on, the more frustrated I have become with this mindless game far too many Christians and conservatives seem to be playing.
Because they rightly despise the Republican establishment, whose repeated capitulations to the godless left allow our country to be sucked helplessly into economic and moral oblivion, these conservatives pretend that simply attacking that Republican establishment makes Donald Trump something other than a liberal charlatan.

Ann Coulter supports Trump? Wow!!! What a surprise!! From her own column:
“After supporting Mitt Romney in 2008, some of you may recall, I ran off with New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie midway through Obama’s first term for precisely that reason: The near-impossibility of beating an incumbent president. Christie seemed like the kind of once-in-a-lifetime star who could pull a Reagan upset against an incumbent president.
But I was wrong. Romney was the perfect candidate, and he was the president this country needed right now. It’s less disheartening that a president who wrecked American health care, quadrupled gas prices, added $6 trillion to the national debt and gave us an 8 percent unemployment rate can squeak out re-election than that America will never have Romney as our president.
Indeed, Romney is one of the best presidential candidates the Republicans have ever fielded. Blaming the candidate may be fun, but it’s delusional and won’t help us avoid making the same mistakes in the future.”
Really, Ann? Romney was one of the greatest nominees in GOP history?
Ronald Reagan would be booed by today’s “conservatives”.
“Trumpeters love to discount all national polls which do not show their beloved winning. Yet for reasons unknown to mortals, there are NO polls on the current winner in the General which show DJT winning against either Sanders or Hillary.”
“Cruziteers” are the only people that think that a poll of an election that wont take place for 9 months is the only poll on Earth that matters....because only something that makes Cruz look good (just barely) can ever be right.
These are the same people in 1980 that were demanding Reagan get out of the race because polls showed him losing to Carter by 30.
Consider Iraq. After each pounding from U.S . warplanes, Iraq has dusted itself off and gone right back to work developing a nuclear arsenal. Six years of tough talk and U.S. fireworks in Baghdad have done little to slow Iraq's crash program to become a nuclear power. They've got missiles capable of flying nine hundred kilometers-more than enough to reach Tel Aviv. They've got enriched uranium. All they need is the material for nuclear fission to complete the job, and, according to the Rumsfeld report, we don't even know for sure if they've laid their hands on that yet. That's what our last aerial assault on Iraq in 1999 was about. Saddam Hussein wouldn't let UN weapons inspectors examine certain sites where that material might be stored. The result when our bombing was over? We still don't know what Iraq is up to or whether it has the material to build nuclear weapons. I'm no warmonger. But the fact is, if we decide a strike against Iraq is necessary, it is madness not to carry the mission to its conclusion. When we don't, we have the worst of all worlds: Iraq remains a threat, and now has more incentive than ever to attack us.

...The invasion of Iraq, [Trump] proposed, was based upon a "lie." Its advocates, he submitted, were engaged not in a mistake, but in a conspiracy. And, worst of all, George W. Bush was to blame for 9/11....Trump wants us to rig the game so he will always emerge as the winner. Irritated that Trump repeatedly gave money to the Democrats, including before the 2008 wave? Upset that Trump praised Nancy Pelosi as "terrific" when she picked up the gavel that would pass Obamacare? Annoyed that Trump called for an assault-weapons ban just as the right to keep and bear arms was being restored piece by piece? Angry that, just three years ago, he was slamming Mitt Romney for his harsh stance toward illegal immigration? Don't be. He "wasn't a politician" back then, and besides, "that's just what businessmen do." If, on the other hand, you are impressed that Trump isn't on record anywhere supporting the War in Iraq... well, that's because he has always had brilliant instincts and will make a top-notch commander in chief.
The Trump Tapes - Vol. 1
Guns - he supported an assault weapons ban and a longer waiting period to purchase a firearm.
Healthcare - Trump said he was "very liberal when it comes to health care" and that he believes in "universal healthcare."
Abortion - he was pro-choice and for partial birth abortion.
Democrats - he said Hillary was a fantastic senator, praised Pelosi, and said Obama is a great President.
He was a Democrat 2001 - 2009:
BWAHAHAHAHA Stern talk don’t walk cowgirl. Go check Google for Cruz’s Senate Campaign.
At that time Trump was criticizing Mitt’s mean Immigration Plan while Cruz was addressing the Illegal Immigration during his Campaign.
Damned, you’ld think someone would have vetted those talking points HQ sent out, no?
Kasich, Rubio, Cruz, and Bush all show one or more match-up wins against the Dem duo. There is not one DJT win.
The topic did not come up in this election until Trump shocked the world with building a wall.
I like Cruz and I’ll vote for him but he’s been pretty ineffective since he went to D.C. Cruz wants to increase H1B visas by 500%... no thanks.
So, Cowgirl, go back to your Beck-men and cuddle up to their teddy bears and soccer balls.
It’s a shame the people who call themselves “conservative” wouldn’t uphold the rule of law.
There would be no Trump had there been any enforcement.
You really are lost if you believe a word of that.
It also means Mike Lee Lied, Jeff Sessions Lied. Pull your head out of your ass and realize he was adding poisin pill amendments he knew would kill the bill.
That is Why the Gaggle of 8 and their supporters defeated the amendments.
Are all you Trumbies really brain dead? You’ve never hear od this happening in the Senate before? Really. Grow the F#$@ Up will you.
sheesh atleast admit what those few Partiots were trying to do while Rubio and his buddies were attempting to destroy this Country with one piece of Legislation.
Oh?
Again, so what?
Your calendar reads February not November.
Or we should move to a system where we take a poll in January, and whomever is “ahead” will get the presidency?
Well, Reagan certainly hated by the Republican Establishment (including Bush) ... that is fact !
âIt’s easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled.â â Mark Twain
I know. They’re ignoring his obvious lack of support outside of a niche market. As some of these posts show, his niche is, in many cases, people who do not like conservatism, Christianity, or the Republican Party. The disdain he and they have for the Republican party is their right. Who, though, beyond them is going to be the people working to get him elected? Who will he hope to work with him in the unlikely even that he becomes president? Leading right now with about 35% of the Republican votes is good. When there is one other candidate and the other 65% goes up for grabs, why would they think that Trump has presented an image a president, the ideas we need, or the character to carry through?
You could do a little research and find out that that’s not a flat out lie. Cruz’s position was published in 2011 and has not changed. It is available for review to anyone who wants to take the time to learn the truth.
I do, however, realize that it is easier and more comforting to just let yourself be swept up onto the Trump Train, let the rocking of the rails carry you along, not give a thought to where you are heading.
I agree. Trump is not a globalist, he is American. Most of those running both parties are globalists. That is why they hate Trump so much.
I’m increasingly convinced that no “True Conservative” can emerge from within the GOP system. The majority that get sent to Washington are either corrupted in short order or were merely playing the part long enough to get on the gravy train.
The few that survive unwanted by exposure will never get the financial or political backing of the party to make it to the White House.
Trump may be a populist rather than a pure conservative, but until Trump or someone like Trump is allowed to clean out the GOP system, the party that is supposed to stand for conservative principles never will stand for anything but self perpetuation.
I can see “conservatives” like you booing Reagan. But then you cheer for Putin, too. And I know you’re in favor of the restoration of a Russian Empire. So I’m pretty sure you were never a Reagan conservative. Reagan was for liberty, not megalomania.
“The Democrats didn't have a policy for dealing with illegal immigrants, but what they did have going for them is they weren't mean-spirited about it,” Trump told Newsmax’s Ronald Kessler in a Nov. 26, 2012 interview.
Romney's solution of "self deportation" for illegal aliens made no sense and suggested that Republicans do not care about Hispanics in general, Trump says.
"He had a crazy policy of self deportation which was maniacal," Trump says. "It sounded as bad as it was, and he lost all of the Latino vote," Trump notes. "He lost the Asian vote. He lost everybody who is inspired to come into this country."
