Donald Trump's Record of Business Failures and Bluster
PJ Media ^ | 18 Feb 16 | J. Christian Adams

Trump earns support from Americans who think he has a Midas touch and will use his business skills to fix the mess President Obama has created. But a closer look at Trump’s record reveals his success story is just that -- a story. How many of his supporters know about Trump University? Trump Air? Trump Vodka, Trump Steaks, Trump ties, or the United States Football League?

Trump's business history reveals someone skilled at making money at the expense of other Americans while his businesses fail, and a man who will say almost anything about these failures. And his legacy of business failures goes beyond the four bankruptcies of his Atlantic City casinos. It includes outsourcing jobs to China, ripping off students seeking an education, and leaving a path of devastated Americans in his wake.

Just ask Louis Piatt. He put his faith in Donald Trump before he concluded Trump University was a worthless scam. Trump University was an unaccredited program that was supposed to teach ordinary Americans how to hit the big time in real estate.

Professor Donald supposedly would offer personal lessons on how to make money. In a perverse way, Trump did. Trump University made money by fleecing regular Americans who saved and paid tens of thousands of dollars in tuition before it vanished. Trump University taught a harsh lesson in grifting.

Yeah, you’re right. Most president’s have had buildings named after them, and they’ve been orange-colored, too.

So, how many total business ventures has Trump been involved in? I’ll give you hint, it is a lot more than 100.

The Trump organization lists involvement in 515 subsidiaries and entities.

Now that number is only the current list of involvement. So the actual number of business ventures that Trump was involved in is obviously greater. So with that how many of his business ventures ended with bankruptcy or as a major failure? 5, 6? Success rate of 99%. Hell I’ll give you 20 failures and his success rate is still 96%.

So Trump’s success is a hoax? He’s not actually a billionaire?

Wow. Mind blown. I’m only going to vote for him once now.

Well he is a good crony capitalist, his ventures involving the NY mob and illegals immigrants (Polish illegals) seemed to have worked well.

As to anything outside that his record is terrible.

"Trump has gotten up, dusted himself off, and rejoined the game time and again."

Trump has gotten up, dusted himself off, stiffed his creditors and rejoined the game time and again.

I wonder how rich he would be if he actually paid back his creditors?

The absolute KEY word with regard to Trump is SUE. When Trump the human gumball machine lets his mouth overload his ass which he seems to do with regularity the first thing he does is CALL HIS LAWYER AND THREATEN TO SUE. Wow! Well Ted Cruz already has that lawyer thing handled, being a constitutional lawyer himself.

Trump is a classic textbook bully on the playground. If someone bloodied his nose, all you would see is his behind running for the phone to call his LAWYER.

I can’t believe I was so desperate to be rid of Obama that I didn’t see all the red flags surrounding Trump. I was always a Cruz supporter but very willing to accept Trump. At this point I think Trump is just ridiculous and out of his league and very likely to, if elected surround himself with New York liberals with mobster values. We already have enough of that.

I hate people who try, fail, and try again! / s

Take that darn Thomas Edison for instance. He was unsuccessful almost 1000 times before correctly getting the light bulb. Really a failure in the opinion of Cruzers who seem to prefer one choose defeat.

“You can’t reason with a “trumpet”. Just look at the responses here already.”

This is the epitome of what a failed post looks like.

You miss one point though. Trump doesn’t present himself as a man who fails, and fails, and fails, and tries and succeeds. Trump says he always wins. He brags that he never loses. Part of his argument is that he is THE authority on always winning. He even can’t stand POWs. They don’t get any respect from him, he said. Trump likes to have it all ways. He like to say who is and is not a Christian - Carson and Cruz, and then he likes to squeal when the Pope says Trump isn’t acting like a Christian. Trump is a uniquely weird man. And he’s clearly not a winner in all ways as his self-made myth implies.

Your tirade is pure BS and in reference to McCain, he sucks as does Kerry. As a Cruzer you can hardly discuss judging who is a Christian with a straight face. Your group continually tells us we aren’t Christian or conservative. But I support your right to your opinion and love you as an American.

Thanks. But you do recall that Trump questioned Carson’s and Cruz’s faith, right? And if you say no, will you get angry when I prove he did?

I won’t get angry period. I hope all the times Cruzers have said Trump supporters were not Christian or conservative is just nasty rhetoric of a bitter campaign. I think lots of people have used religious innuendos to get a rise. Cruz has done the same with his believers vs nonbelievers.

The reason I believe this is done on tbe right is basically we all value God and our religions. Would have no impact on the godless left. Next January most of the hateful rhetoric will be gone. Most of us love America.
