I'll second that! Announce it in your inauguration speech Mr. Trump.
Oh puhleese.
Is there a relationship between dorms and rape?
Between cafeterias and rape?
Is there a relationship between college and rape?
These people are ignorant.
Better question: is there a connection between the arrival of millions of savages and rape?
Real simple, ladies: DON’T get falling-down drunk around any man you do not intend (while sober) to sleep with.
Better yet, don’t EVER get so drunk that your ability to exercise good judgement is impaired.
A crack down on underage drinking on college campuses would probably never happen, since it has been going on forever, but that would be one part of a solution.
The stupidity of this guy astonishes me.
I hope he writes an article about behavior in parts od Europe and South America on futbol game day.

Shankar Vedantam, please get a life.
You’re speaking a defunct language that is little used in today’s world. It’s called “Wisdom”. It’s simplistic, common sense and to the point premises are like so much gibberish to most women today. If they don’t wake up from a night of drunken partying with a contract signed by both them and their date, then they’ve been raped, whether they remember it or not.
It’s a gone society. It’s hard to watch.
Doesn’t say incidents of rape increase, says reports of rape increase. Big difference, as students at Duke and UVa can tell you.
Yes, but that’s not PC
Yes, and there is a connection between the Super Bowl and spousal abuse.

“A crack down on underage drinking on college campuses would probably never happen, since it has been going on forever, but that would be one part of a solution.”
As you say, underage drinking on college campuses has been going on forever. What is relatively new, however, is the ubiquity of binge drinking by both male and female students. Yes, students got drunk when I was in college many years ago, but the “weekend” started on Friday night or, at the earliest on Thursday night. Now, the only night of the week that is slow at the bar scene adjacent to campus is Monday when some of them close for clean-up and maintenance.
Day one invalidate every executive order of Obama.
Day two defund NPR and other left wing organizations dependent on our tax $’s.
