If you have even remotely looked at recent history, it has been PROGRESSIVES that have been nominated only to either lose or go even more progressive in the general.

2012 - Romney - progressive
2016 - Trump? — progressive

Liberal Republicans aren’t “Progressive”, their policies are REGRESSIVE. Same thing with liberal Democrats. If you want REGRESSION, vote for someone like Trump or Bernie Sanders. If you want PROGRESS, vote for Ted Cruz.
