Donald Trump holds a broad 16-point lead among those likely to vote in South Carolina's Republican primary this Saturday, according to a new CNN/ORC Poll. Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton tops Bernie Sanders by 18 points in the state's Democratic primary, which will be held a week later.
In the Republican race, Trump, at 38%, tops Texas Sen. Ted Cruz, who holds second place with 22%. Behind those two, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio garners 14% support, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is at 10%, retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has 6% and Ohio Gov. John Kasich is at 4%.

Wait! Trump leading Pastor Cruz by 20 points amongst evangelicals?? That can't be. We were told Ted was going to win big with evangelicals.
For weeks Fox and others pimped Rubios 3-2-1 strategy for IA,NH,SC.
Looking more like 3-5-3 lol
We all love the polls that agree with us.
Trump poll ping.
Thank god Kasich is still in last...he stands for nothing. He is like another Bush ready to get rolled by history.
So far every public poll agrees with Trump. And by a lot.
Saturday we see where this thing lands... personally my bet at present is Trump wins big, probably putting a few more points on his NH win.. Perhaps not, but certainly mid 30s plus or minus.
I personally suspect you will see Trump continue to gain momentum a few points more with every win, and once he gets to mid 40s it becomes a very very narrow path that any establishment politician will beat him.
Time will tell.
Looks like the Bernie supporters switched over to trump in the open primary. Makes sense.
Trump is the quintessential RINO.
He charges at conservatives like he wants to kill them.
Wait, even though he criticized W?
How can that be?

WOOHOO!!! GO.TRUMP.GO!!! ALL THE WAY TO THE OVAL OFFICE!!!
Evangelicals who are not Biblically illiterate recognize that bearing false witness is not a fruit of repentance.
I guess they’re not buying what Glenn Beck is selling, that Cruz is the one sent by God to guide us thru the Rapture. Heidi Cruz even said that Ted would “show us the face of God.”
Personally, that sounds a little too Jim Jonesish to me. I hope that Cruz isn’t mixing up a batch of Kool-Aid for when he loses the nomination.
Nice!!!
...and remember reading: If you don’t believe in Jesus and vote for Cruz your going to hell.....
I think that was someone named ‘yashcharity’ or something like that...would laugh everytime I read it...
Yup. The evangelicals that make up most of Cruz’s base are the ones that watch TBN all day and send money for a packet of “faith seeds”. They like being lied to by preachers
During a South Carolina town hall on today, Senator Lindsey Graham asks the audience, “how many of you are Democrats?” Jeb Bush raised his hand.
Runaway Trump train going down the tracks. :-)
Trump 53-18 over Cruz on illegals
Trump 58-14 over Cruz on "Economy"
Trump 34-24 over Cruz among "college"
Trump 29-22 over Cruz on "foreign policy"
Trump 36-26 over Cruz among "conservative"
Trump 36-22 among "over $50k income" (i.e., college again)
Trump 28-21 over Cruz on "social policies"
Trump 27-26 over Cruz on "best represent values of Republicans" (very interesting, which says, people see being a "Republican" as not nearly as important as fixing the country.
almost 50% made up their mind already, and 20% pretty sure (in line with CBS poll earlier)
